My grandson is 14, he loves these. I bought him a large pair slightly big but he will grow into them by next season. As for how long they last, long enough he's happy.

Purchased in July, only used three days a week. Semi pro football practice on Tue and Thur and flag football Sunday. Have not had these two full months and they are already looking like the photo! Cheap material, poorly stitched product. I do not recommend purchasing anything from this company. They asked me to email them a picture and they will replace and all communication has halted since I sent the photos.Would give 0 stars but I have to at least give one.
