This is a fairly nice battery, it tested at 1560 mAh, which is under the stated 1900 mAh, but not too bad, still this is not to the spec, so it only gets 4 stars.The technology has evolved since the introduction of the battery in 2001, for once, the replacement can be better than the original, and it is the case here is since the original was only 1180 mAh.This NPF-M battery is very close to NPF batteries, enough to be confused, but they are not directly compatible. I added a photo from a NPF-550 (blue) to compare. Physically, the NPF is longer and the notches are placed differently, and they have some different notches. When trying to use a NPF-M in a NPF device, the second notch will hit the battery end. Some chargers support both models, they simply omit the second notch, and the first notch is shorter, if present. Electrically, the plus and minus are the same, but the C pin is different.

It works great! It even charges the battery that came with my camera (it takes a long time due to the age of the battery I believe). It charges the batteries that came in the set pretty quickly.
