I was confused when I first came across this. It said it was used????? I decided to give it a try and there's no way I could tell if this is used or new. It works just as good as any I've used and I always use this brand. I got a two and a half bag for the price similar to the 10oz bags I usually buy. Hope this helps.

My wife had bought a very, very tarnished copper plaque 24" in diameter. I built a 25'' square 2'' deep wood basin, lined it with some 6mil poly, set the plaque in it and covered it with a gal. of the acid mix. After about 4 hours I used a small brass brush in the crevises and it came out looking great. A happy wife makes for a happy life

Gotta say, it does what it says it does - my copper came out sparkling clean and ready for more plating or whatever step I headed to next in the course of my copper plating processes.

I have always used Sparex 2 in my pickle pot. Earlier this year, I decided to go green and tried every salt/vinegar formula possible.I was not happy with the results.I used a PH Down, which was better than the household combinations but not as dependable as Sparex 2.I’m back to Sparex and can’t imagine using anything else. Consistent results and fast.

I put this in a wax warmer as I didn't have anything else around and only needed a tiny amount. It worked great for my soldering. I then used it to clean an antique silver compact that had black spots on it. I figured it couldn't hurt. To my surprise the black spots rubbed right off. Well, they are light brown now at least so I think I just need to leave it in longer, according to the experts. Don't get it on you because it hurts! Some got on my finger - ow. Lastly, like many have said, the bag was split and contents spilled into the box. I hope they start putting it in an extra bag.

This stuff works well - it does exactly what is described in the product description. It's just a big sack of pickling compound, and it's more than enough for me, since I don't need to clean silver on a full time or industrial level. I've been using it for months and I still have plenty left. I do wish they had the formulation for smaller batches printed on the back, but a little basic math and you're good if you use a little dipper or similar small crock pot. Perfect for the hobby jewelry maker or non-full time maker.
