You'll start with 4 Disorder cards dealt face up and then take turns trying to find (or steal) the right Drug cards to treat your Disorders. But beware! Drug cards will also leave you open to receiving new Disorders from other players! A 2019 SXSW Gamer's Voice finalist. In addition to being wickedly fun to play, Side Effects is a gorgeous piece of art within itself — the gilded box contains 89 beautiful cards and an instruction booklet. A pleasing gift for anyone, it takes only minutes to learn and can play from 2 to 8 (ages 14 and up).

Such a fun game to play with friends! I don’t really like learning new games but this one was easy enough to catch on to. Even my friends who hate new games (hard to convince to play something they don’t already know) learned and loved it. We’ve never just played it once, it always gets played over and over again with lots of laughs.

Value for money is great. The quality of the cards gives the exact reason of value and great quality. Such a fun dark humorous game to play with your friends that don't take things too seriously.

My husband and I bought this game after seeing a video advertisement for it. We absolutely love it. A lot of thought obviously went into the game and cards. We both struggle with mental health and the game is so accurate it's pretty funny. It's well worth the money for a fun game, and we plan on buying any and all expansions that go to this game.

Side Effects è un gioco semplice e divertente da giocare con i propri amici. le regole si imparano in 5 minuti ed è assolutamente geniale. il tema un po' dark delle malattie mentali lo rende un gioco intrigante che propongo sempre a tutti i miei amici come alternativa ai soliti giochi di carte. (nelle foto ho censurato solo un codice sconto che ti danno per l'acquisto di un gioco della pillbox)Dato che il gioco è disponibile solo in america non mi aspettavo arrivasse veramente, sono rimasto piacevolmente sorpreso quando ho aperto il pacco e mi sono ritrovato la scatola perfetta e intonsa!

My partner is a huge board game lover who likes games that are challenging and strategic. We played this game with 2 different groups and everyone's had a good time. It's a really fast paced game which we like since he's got so many games. We actually enjoyed it so much that we ended up purchasing the booster shot at Barns & Nobles before New Years so that we could have more fun during the holidays! The cards themselves are beautiful and a pretty good size. I'm really happy with the purchase as I bought him this game for Christmas after doing a lot of research!

Compre este juego por que soy fan de los juegos de mesa y este me convencio por que el tema central del juego es todo lo referente a la salud mental. Jugando todos toman conciencia de la importancia de la salud mental , que lo mas importante es la terapia y evitar el uso de psicotropicos , y todo esto sucede mientras te ries y pasas buenos momentos con amigos y familiares.... lo recomiendo ampliamente!, pienso comprar la expansion.

My husband and I are both psych professionals and we absolutely love this game. The card art work is beautiful, the gameplay is so much fun, the cards themselves are durable, and the base game box has enough room for the expansion pack!

I first played this game at a friend's house and boy did we turn on each other quick. One second we were all friends sipping our wine and chatting about life and the next, we were ganging up on each other. Who would have thought that trying to destroy your friends' mental health would be so much fun!Seriously though, the game mechanics are so easy to learn and straight forward and even helped me to formulate my own card game. I doubt I'll follow through on that since I always have new projects popping up but it's nice to know I can play a card game that's this rewarding without the commitment of MTG and without breaking the bank.I'd say the game is suitable for more mature players given the theme. I have middle-aged friends who have been through a lot in life and don't love it while others find it to be therapeutic.Definitely a good quick party game for 4-8 people but be warned - eventually, there will always be that one person that doesn't want to stop playing and the one that will secretly want to quite after not winning a few rounds but stay silent and hold it against the rest of the group. I am somehow both of these people on some nights.

This game is so fun, and funny for groups, it is also surprisingly accurate in regards to the medications used to treat the diagnosis. The game does make it easy to joke of sensitive subjects so please keep that in mind when playing. Mental health is important and this game touches on many disorders and may be triggering for some people. As always know your friend and if any of them are sensitive to any of the included themes find a different game to play. Otherwise, take this for a spin and give your friends, anxiety, gambling addictions and so many more issues.
