I use this little amp to play the front and rear doors in my setup. I have another old-school Pioneer (Premiere) amp for the subwoofer. And, I can tell you, this little amp, paired with some Alpine (type S) coax in the doors very solid. The mid-bass comes through quite nicely to the 6x9s and the highs are enough to bother ppl with better high-frequency hearing than me.Would I buy another one? Most definitely - especially if I have a nice signal processor before it.The _only_ reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it has no manual gain control.

Installed in line with an android radio. Simple install , found a 30 amp fused circuit on the dash fuse block, that was for diesel models, that was perfect as it only had one power pin installed. Snaked my power wire from drivers side of dash to center , making sure I have no pinching points. Then I used a fuse tapper along with proper wire size and fuse. Ran my wiring with slack, grounded my amp to the dash carrier and used the packaging foam as a cushion and zip tied the amp against the dash carrier brace that fit like a glove behind the trim panel. I can access the switches for filter control. Using the HPF and letting my Skar SVR 12" do the work for the low notes. Sound is nice , crisp and goes loud. Running 4 jbls 6.5 2ohm speakers. Never cut out on me even on a long road trip thru the desert.Would not hesitate to use again where you don't have room or want a hidden install. The size of a box your new phone comes in.Recommend.

Extraordinaria opción para instalarlo oculto bajo el tablero y suficiente poder para que 4 bocinas de 6X9 hagan retumbar el carro de mi hijo

If you’re running separates with your head unit, this is a VERY distinguishable upgrade. I had been powering all of my door and headrest(Miata) speakers with my Alpine HU with a mono block pushing my subs in the trunk. It sounded OK if I didn’t go any higher than 20 on my volume(that is with amp tuned and door seprates running through passive crossovers). I added this little black box(fit right behind my HU in dash) and I have yet to go max volume(kinda scared), hear any distortion or have anything cut out, mono block included. So far, I have to say that I am pretty amazed. I record a bit of Hip Hop and usually use A LOT of mid-bass and bass. This unit has not only cleared up my mids and highs, I also notice heavier, more clear bass.Let me clarify that, because of my head unit only having 4 outs and no ins for RCA options, I chose to use this as a 2 channel for my door separates. That’s 2 RCAs going to mono block and other 2 RCAs going to this unit(using RCA harness provided). I then, just simply, cut the left and right front speaker leads from my Alpine HU harness and spliced them into the provide Speaker Out Harness. I then spliced the Power/Ground/Remote wires right into the ones coming out of the head unit harness. The headrest(Rear) speakers are still being powered by my Alpine. I also have the option of tying the rear channels into the two channel set-up but this was easier for now. Nice to have the option still though.I’ve only run it for a day. Hopefully, this will be my one and only review on this one...

Very impressed, Just install this in a 2004 Pontiac Sunfire using a Apline Type-S speakers and it is loud. I currently run an Alpine PDXF4 400W amp and Type-R speakers in my 2008 Sierra and this is not as good but definetly comparable. This amp has zero adjustments accept for high-pass and low-pass filters. but for the price you can't go wrong. This thing is also super tiny! You can pretty much stuff it anywhere. If your looking for a 400W amp in a lower price range this is a great buy!

For a combination of the money, size, ease of installation and quality - this is an awesome little unit! I installed this in my 3rd gen Honda CRV and couldn't be happier. I soldered everything together for the new head unit and the amp without even opening the car door - literally on the couch watching football. all I had to do was plug and play when it came down to working in the car. To make a direct comparison will be hard as I replaced the head unit at the same time with a pioneer mvh560 and the quality of sound is awesome! I am using polk db 6.5" speakers in each door (components in front).I wanted to hide an amp behind the dash (there is a lot of space behind the crv dash) and I knew I didn't need to blow the doors off of anything so I figured this would be more than enough to give some decently full sound and the ease of wiring was a dream. I have always hated running amp wires all over the place - this solved that problem by using all the factory stereo wires - I did create a new chassis ground for the relatively beefy ground wire that it comes with. The power wire is the same gauge and some would recommend running a power wire to it from the battery with a fuse, especially if you plan on maxing it out regularly. If you plan to enjoy tunes and have a conversation and not blow your kids' eardrums out - using factory stereo wiring is fine for the power wire. It took me to turn it up to uncomfortable levels to get it to start to have power and heat issues. To mount it I used double sided tape and zip ties to secure the amp behind the dash you wouldn't even know it's back there. There are no gain knobs - I personally love this feature since it's tucked away behind the dash and making gain adjustments post install would just irritate me enough to not do it. It comes down to what you want. I wanted a simple, decent sounding, and easy to install amplifier at this little guy delivered on all fronts. If you want BIG sound and lots of control - this will not make you happy.I am actually planning on getting another one of these for one of my other cars.
