It works as advertised. It cuts things like potatoes into long, thin, spiraling slices. It cuts pretty easily.The center part that screws into the item you are cutting is hollow. When you are finished, you need a toothpick or something similar to poke out the bits of food that get stuck in the hollow part.When you get near the end of the item you are cutting then you don't have much of the fruit or vegetable to hold on to. You either have to waste that chunk and throw it away (or use it for something else), or if you want to spiral cut every little bit then it gets dangerous because your fingers are very close to the blade.
