This RANTEC Pop Up Sink Stopper and Universal Sink Drain Strainer worked very well and fit my sink very well. It comes with 4 differently sized 'gaskets' you can test out to get the best seal possible. It is all stainless steel and very shiny. It looks 100% better than the unsightly hole in my guest bathroom.Other commenters have said that this is made of plastic, and they apparently didn't take off the plastic cover or the blue film that keeps this stopper from getting scratched before you install it. No judgement.I used the medium sized gasket to get the best seal, and it stopped up the sink pretty well but it did slowly drain out. If you were trying to hold water for soaking garments this may not work for you without using some silicone around the base. The pop up function worked great with a very satisfying literal "pop", but I was disappointed that there wasn't any way to adjust the height. My faucet dumps water into the sink quickly and after a minute the water started to creep past the stopper. As long as I didn't run the faucet full blast it handled the flow.This was a cheap, effective, and good looking fix for my missing stopper.

I have no idea what happened to the original stopper in my sink, but when I came across this stopper I had to get it. I was not disappointed! It really does fit most sinks and now I don't have to worry about losing things down the drain. It's built to be a stopper when you push it down and to reopen when you push it again. It doesn't drain very fast when it's in the "open" position, but it does keep the water in the sink when it's in the "closed" position. It's a great product, easy to install and use, and looks great. Would recommend.

This stopper is a perfect fit in my average size American bathroom drain. It is made well, looks nice and easy to install and use. I love everything about it except that it is very difficult to clean out. The parts unscrew, but the basket doesn't have a release mechanism or opening to clean out the debris collected inside. So when the gunk gets clogged inside the trap, the sink can't empty quickly. The trap isn't very large, so it doesn't hold very much "gunk." I do a lot of cleaning and rinsing out in this particular sink, so I've already had to remove an empty the contents twice this week. Honestly, it's trapping things that would probably safely travel down the drain, in my opinion. Cleaning it out isn't any fun and it's really gross, difficult and time consuming. They should include a special tool to somehow simplify this task. Otherwise, I love the concept.UPDATE: I wanted to update my review and upgrade from 4 stars to 5. I just discovered that the bottom twists off so you can easily empty the trapped contents into the trash.

This looks good but the fit is not good it's a little small and allows water to leak by the sides. The water does drain good if open. But can't hold the water if you need to use for shaving this is not good

Great design. I love the way it functions. But it doesn’t fit either of my sinks. It is too wide. It is not fully metal, only the portion that goes in the drain. The piece visible is plastic. Great price for the way it works. Unfortunately, the measurements didn’t end up matching my sinks like they should have.

My bathroom sink had no drain valve. I was going to get a rubber stopper but kept forgetting. Then I saw this item on Amazon Vine. It arrived 4 days after ordering. It included 3 silicone collars for different drain diameters, and a thin silicone washer to fit under the main flange. The picture shows the drain valve with the lint catcher removed. This took a bit of force with needle nose pliers. The total depth of the drain valve is about 1 7/8 inches. My sink had an existing drain structure which interfered with this. I used a hacksaw blade and needle nose pliers to remove it. My sink now holds water without any leaking, and looks great! This is a quality part. I am very happy with it.

This gadget pops quickly into your sink drain, and catches tons of hair (and other "gook"). Press on the drain plug to toggle it open and closed. It closes very well; no leakage below.Negative: it does not pop open very high, so the draining is VERY slow, leaving residue in the sink and requiring additional wiping. So it causes extra work for me.It is however easy to clean out the hair caught, lessening the probability of clogging up your drain pipes.

Our bathroom sink fixtures are 20 years old and act like it. They have the classic pull-up drain plug with a mechanism that tips a lever down in the tailpiece. Since it rarely gets used, the mechanism gets gummed up and it no longer seals. At some point I grabbed the stopper and racked it back and forth in attempt to clear it, and this just broke it off. Now it's just a hole that eats medications and earbuds when dropped.The right fix is to disassemble and/or replace the whole tailpiece assembly, which also involves cleaning out the cabinet, etc, etc. Too much time for a feature used twice a year.This gadget pops right in and takes the place of the tailpiece stopper. It seals surprisingly well and comes with an assortment of silicone washers that (I think) help conform to the contours of the bowl opening. It's held in place by friction and the spring-loaded stopper stays down and releases with a single click.I'm actually very happy with it. Installation took about 15 seconds and I tried a couple different washer combinations. Removal is easy (It pulls right out) and things don't fall into the drain any more.The body is all metal and it ought to last at least a few years. Cleaning the gunk out is also a lot simpler now.My only caveat is the fact there are zero instructions. The unit arrived with some washers in place and others in an envelope. You really don't know if they're required or not. It's up to you to figure out the right combination for your sink. My sink is pretty generic and you can see the combination I used in the photos.
