Portable Electric Burr Coffee Grinder

TYPE-C charging port

The TYPE-C charging port design can be put into a backpack for carrying, which is convenient and unrestricted to carry, and has a wider range of charging applications.

Portable Electric Burr Coffee Grinder

Conical grinding core

Adopting a precision spiral ceramic grinding core, the grinding is evenly pushed from top to bottom. Compared with a metal grinding core, it is not easy to heat up during grinding, and it is not easy to heat up after long-term use, which reduces the loss of coffee flavor.

Portable Electric Burr Coffee Grinder

Precise gear position display

40 gears of coarse and fine gears can be matched at will, each gear adjustment feedback is clear, the available gears are not falsely marked, and the precise scale display can accurately control the coarseness and fineness, easily meeting different flavor requirements.

I was excited to receive this grinder, as we had planned to take it to the beach with us, but it's going to be sitting our trip out. I added the beans and began the grinding process, wishing to use the finest grind setting. It spit out larger pieces than it should have and it took forever to actually get through a small amount of coffee. While it's easy to set up and easy to clean, it just doesn't seem worth the cost for how half-heartedly is does its job.

When analyzing a coffee grinder, I find myself comparing it to the old, oval-shaped wired electric coffee grinders I grew up with; tall and skinny, with a metal grinding cup with open blades inside, and a plastic lid with a button on the top edge that you held down to engage the motor. Those are about $15 these days. This coffee grinder by Syaonrst is different than the old-school wired grinders. For one thing, it's wireless, and rechargeable with a USB-C cord. It had a grind setting, so you can pick your favorite grind style, set it, and let it grind, without worrying if your coffee is going to come out too coarse or too fine. The catch basin on the bottom is glass instead of plastic, and has a rubber grommet around the top to seal in air. All of the pieces are very well-made and well fitting. The design is easy to use, easy to operate, and easy to clean. All good so far.But is a wireless and rechargeable design really better for a coffee grinder? I tend to automatically assume that "wireless" = "better". But in this instance, it doesn't really seem to be true. This grinder takes about 4 hours to charge from depleted to full. This might be manageable if only one person makes the coffee all the time, or if everyone puts the grinder back on the charger as soon as they're done using it; otherwise, some morning soon, you're going to have a bad time. A return trip to the overpriced coffee shop because someone didn't charge the grinder is almost guaranteed unless the grinder is under the control of one dedicated home barista. The grinder is also very, very slow. I ground about 5 standard scoops of coffee (1/8 cup per scoop), and it took about 5 minutes. I use a pour-over pot that takes 8 standard scoops per pot, so I had to go in for a second grind, and had leftover grounds, making the sealed glass cup at the bottom very convenient. It took longer to grind the coffee than it did to brew it.Compared to my old, wired, press-to-grind grinder, this Syaonrst grinder is very quiet. However, that's the only feature that this grinder has over the old school grinder. The old school grinder was fast, it held more coffee, and it was easy to clean once you figured out the secret (grind up some dry white rice in it). This one is just small, slow, and expensive compared to the wired version. Of course, with the old version, if the electricity is out in the morning, you'll have to make that same emergency trip to the overpriced coffee shop. But imho it makes more sense to have a manual coffee grinder as a backup over this rechargeable electric one.It does grind coffee, it is well-made, and it has a few nice features, but overall, I'm underwhelmed with its performance and especially its cost. 6/10.

I’ve been using this portable grinder for a few weeks now, and I’m honestly blown away by how convenient and consistent it is. I also use it to grind whole spices which works perfectly also. The grind settings are amazing. I’ve used it for everything from espresso to French press and spices. It’s surprisingly quiet too, which I appreciate during early mornings in shared spaces. The battery life is solid. I’ve gotten about 15 cups on a single charge, and the USB-C charging is super convenient. It’s compact enough to toss in my backpack, and the 25g capacity is just right for a couple of strong brews.Cleaning is easy — the parts come apart smoothly, and the included brush helps with the fine powder. Just remember not to rinse the motor base!If you’re a coffee enthusiast who’s always on the move or just want a reliable grinder for home use without taking up counter space, this is a fantastic buy. Highly recommend!

This electric burr coffee grinder is really nice! I used to have a manual hand-cranked one, and it took forever; plus, it was tiring on the arm. This unit does take longer than a plug-in burr grinder, but it makes great ground coffee when you’re away from home.I’m definitely bringing this on my camping trip this summer: it’s compact, easy to use, and gets the job done. Would be even better if it ground a bit faster, but overall, it’s a solid travel grinder! Definitely recommended for coffee lovers on the go.

I got this grinder because I’m tired of preground espresso, and this machine allows you to adjust the coarseness of the grind on a scale from 1-40.The first day, I put in a handful of beans and hit start. It seemed to take an awfully long time, but afterwards I thought maybe I had put too many beans in.Today is day two. I just used a food scale to weigh out exactly 18 g of coffee beans, set it to a coarseness of 3 (1-5 is recommended for espresso), pressed start, and started a stopwatch. The result: it finished grinding the beans in exactly 6 minutes and 45 seconds. For comparison, if you look at grinding discussions on the Reddit espresso community, people talk about grind times of 10 to 20 seconds for 18 g of espresso, and they get worried that something is wrong if it takes more than 30 seconds.Of course, they are talking much more expensive machines ($200 and up). At the moment, this grinder is only $40, which is five times cheaper. For that price, maybe you can live with a very slow grind. The auto shutoff feature means you don’t have to monitor the grinding, so you can wake up, throw your beans in, press start, then brush your teeth. A few minutes later, you’ll have freshly-ground coffee ready to be brewed. There’s also the portability factor: I’m taking a business trip next week, and I think I’ll pack this along with a pour over coffee setup and some coffee beans. The result should be *much* better than hotel coffee.I’ve gone back and forth on how many stars to award this grinder. When the stopwatch hit five minutes and the grinder was not done yet, I was leaning towards two or three stars.I like everything else about it, though, and the price is hard to beat. Taking all that into consideration, I think four stars is fair.
