Both the manual and wireless remote only work for winding in,they don't go out. You must loosen the clutch and unwind manually or freewheel to make it go out. Had I known this I probably wouldn't have purchased it. I'm not sure yet if it will pull my17' boat on the trailer. It goes about1200#.I'm sending it back if it doesn't happen.

First off, forget the 11,000 pound rating. This is a 3500 pound winch. Even the manual caps out at 9,500 pounds of ROLLING capacity. Listed max boat weight is 5000 pounds as well. Photo is of the manual that comes with the winch.The rest of it is fairly good. There is an adaptor so you can put this on a hitch ball for an anchor point. The electrical access (power and wired controller) has a little cover that is not tethered and will get lost. The electrical connection wasn't the happiest when I first hooked it up. Sometimes worked, other times not. After unplugging everything and putting it all back together it is working now. Not sure.There is a wireless remote included. battery is not included. It is also an odd battery not listed anywhere. Not in the manual, not in the ad, not on the remote either. I remember one like that before, did a bunch of research. A few assumptions. An A23 12V battery fits and works.I think this is a good winch, with over hyped specs in the ad. If you go with what is in the manual, figure a few things out on your own, it should be good. Mine looks just like the ad. I ding the ratings strictly based on the ad not correctly representing the product.
