I want to start this review by saying that I think very highly of all Portland Design Works products. I’ve been buying their gear for nearly a decade, and they consistently combine great design with excellent quality. The Drinkamabob is no exception—it feels well-sewn and thoughtfully constructed.I picked this up thinking it would work with the bag I use on the front of my bike. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get it to fit with my current setup. I tried several different arrangements, but it seems specifically designed to work with a wire basket that has wide enough spaces for the straps to slide through. That said, I’m holding onto it in case I ever switch to a cage-style basket on the front or back of my bike.

With summer approaching (and winters in New England feeling endless), I decided to invest in the PDW Swigamajig ("Swig") and Drinkamabob ("Bob") for carrying additional water bottles on my rides. Both holders are surprisingly functional and quirky, offering unique mounting options to suit different needs. Here's my take!**Key Features**Both Swig and Bob excel in holding an 18-oz bike water bottle securely, thanks to their adjustable bottom strap. They’re even versatile enough to fit my Contigo Tumbler, which is a bonus! Built from rugged, recycled plastic, they feel durable and eco-conscious—something I genuinely appreciate.**The Differences**- **Swig**: Designed for handlebar-stem-steer tube mounting, Swig installs easily using three Velcro straps. Once mounted, it stays stable with minimal swing. There’s a bit of bounce, but tightening the zip cord fixes that. It’s a straightforward, reliable option for carrying a bottle while maintaining easy access during rides.- **Bob**: Tailored for basket mounting, Bob takes things a step further by offering more versatility. It uses two backpack-style Velcro straps, meaning you can attach it not just to your bike basket but also to your belt, backpack strap, or other creative spots. Its adaptable design makes it a standout.**Final Thoughts**Both Swig and Bob combine charm with utility. Their quirky designs may turn heads, but they get the job done—keeping me hydrated and prepared for those long summer rides. If you’re in need of extra bottle holders, these two are worth considering. Safe riding, everyone!

I love having this cupholder for my electric scooter when I go to the pool this way I can take my water bottle with me rather than having to carry a backpack.

Great to use as a feed bag or a bottle holder if you have a front basket! Not too many that has a strap on the bottom to stabilize in a basket vs on a handlebar. The straps are easy to adjust, the size is perfect. All in all, a great designed piece of kit!

Does that it was meant to do. It's an interesting choice to leave the bottom open the way it is, but its less material, lighter and allows liquid to flow right out.Nonetheless, I'm a fan of what this does and how well it does it, simply. Also it being made of recycled materials helps the environment.

It's made out of really tough material, it feels nice, like quality in my hands. I pulled and stretched on this thing to try and fit a bigger bottle in it, it held up. It has foam padding sewn into it and an elastic cord to cinch up on the bottle. Its a really nice product really poor design. Its tubular with just a strap holding your bottle from the bottom, you can't keep items besides a bottle in it. It is really small, I couldn't fit any of my liter bottles in it. When I put a 750 mil bottle in it, it stuck out the top and bottom. I don't have a 500 mil but I imagine that would fit ideal as it could fit. This might be good for a casual rider who just want to carry a drink around, I tried a drink can but it fit loosly. It needs to have some kind of bottom to act as a pocket, and it needs to be able to accommodate a liter bottle. I tried to mount it on the handlebar but its kinda sloppy. Its really meant to be mounted on a basket or flat surface. I love the construction of it though it is nice and quality.

this drinkamabob is a simple yet effective solution to adding a cup holder to your bike setup. it easily attaches to a bike basket and secures drinks. feels like it's made of decent materials and should last me virtually as long as I could need it to.

I wish this was slightly larger. It fits a standard bike bottle or a tall Smart Water bottle. This is a bike bag but I tried it on the shoulder strap of my back pack and it works great. Durable materials and good sewing. If it was larger in diameter I would give it 5 stars
