Not sure if it preforms its intended function, need more range time. Might make cleaning gun a bit more difficult.

I absolutely love the way this looks on my Springfield 1911 Operator. The pistol had a silver bushing from the factory, and the pistol is blued. The contrast was great, so, adding this shiny bit to it, really makes it look great. It took a little work to get it on the pistol and I struggled with it at first. Once I knew what I was doing, it went on and comes off with ease. Unfortunately, I have not yet had the opportunity to test fire it since the addition of the brake. As long as it doesn't come apart or damage my pistol, this one is a win.

Fits around the barrel and in the slide good but it won't allow the recoil spring plug the go back it. And the supplied recoil spring plug that came with it won't even fit into the slide it's to large in diameter. My original recoil spring plug won't fit with it either. Needs a relief cut on side of compensater to allow re installation of recoil spring plug

Looks very good quality but had to return it since it doesn’t do anything much for recoil management as a muzzle brake

I purchased this for a stainless steel government model. Did not fit into the slide opening. So i tried it out on 2 other government model 1911's ..Same issue. Apparently the outer diameter is to large to fit inside the slide. I was so upset that doesn't fit what it says it will, i threw it in the garbage can. For $35 dollars I'm not making the 45 minute drive to the post office to return it. Don't waste your money !!!!!
