It’s okay, but too much plastic. Good for light work but there are better quality options out there.

This is so easy to use and the different tops go on super easy and the grip on the bottom of the container holds in place nice. My first use was to slice onions and I was done in less than a minute. Be sure to use the safety plastic to stick on the item to ensure you don’t cut your finger. Like I said u get right down faster than you think. I love how it all stacks together for storage. It’s was very sharp and the quality of this item is not flimsy it’s terrific.

Wow, it's been 3 years that I got this mandolin and I still love it. Most of the time, I use the thin slice mode, which is what I love it for. I can slice onions, zucchini and carrot ribbons, potatoes for scalloped, even firm tomatoes. I don't ever use the second blade, which is for julienne cuts. I had other mandolins which were more sophisticated with lots of blades but they took a big space in my small cabinets. This one fits perfectly in a small drawer of knives. It is just as uncomplicated as I needed to be.

We needed a replacement for our old slicer. I can highly recommend this one. My wife loves it. It is easy to use. It doesn’t slide around while and use, and it is very easy to clean.

I was a little skeptical after reading some of the reviews. Some claim that the product design is flawed - it's not!Functional, versatile and a must-have kitchen tool. My preference is to wash it by hand to preserve the longevity of the item. Highly recommend.

Just what I was looking for--small, compact, easy-to-use, with several choices of functions that work just fine. The only disappointment is that the mandolin-style slicer has only one size. If you want very thin slices, you'll be out of luck with this device. But I like the raked design--makes working on it much easier. And I like the container underneath that catches the slices or shreds. Works great. Easy to clean. All in all, a great buy. (For those who criticized this item because they cut themselves when using it--I'm sorry you were injured, but I call that a good thing for the product. It's sharp and works as designed. Wear a glove or use the enclosed holder next time. User error isn't the product's fault.)

My old mandolin was getting dull, so I bought this one to replace it. Its very sharp and cuts good. I found the way the slice thickness is set a little odd (there are different insert plates for different sizes), but it works well. It's shorter than my old one, but that does not seem to make too much difference. The built in folding stand is really nice.I put it in the dishwasher to clean it. It always comes out clean. The safety handle works pretty good for most vegetables (it doesn't work for carrots). If you don't or can't use it you gotta be careful not to cut your fingers because this thing is sharp.

I always suspect fake reviews when I see a product with a nearly perfect 5-star average review, especially when I don't recognize the brand. However, I needed a grater with it's own container and a guard as I've accidentally cut my fingers more than once while grating, and this had the highest rating. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was of solid quality and fairly thoughtfully designed. The underside of the container has small black, rubber-looking nonslip material at the front and back that actually did prevent the container from moving on the counter while I was grating. I like that the container has measurement markings to use as a reference (haven't checked against a measuring cup, though.)The grater and slicing plates feel like they're enclosed in sturdy plastic. The slicer plates are super sharp. The grater plates are not that sharp, but good enough. For example, when I wash the grater plates I can move the sponge (lightly) back and forth over the grater without damaging the sponge. With other graters, I can only clean them by moving the sponge in one direction as the other direction would scrape off the surface of the sponge. But I'm able to grate carrots and hard, refrigerated cheeses just fine. Each plate is a different color and has its function engraved in the plastic, which I thought were nice touches. The lid, plates, guard, and container snap together securely in place, so I don't have the problem of the pieces dislodging if I set it down too hard or accidentally knock it over. The hand guard needs improvement, though. It has plastic spikes that don't grip hard foods (such as carrots) well. The spikes are also widely spaced, so it doesn't grip softer and/or smaller pieces of foods (such as cheese or garlic) well. Due to the spacing of the spikes, ungrated pieces of garlic escape from the under the guard. If you press too hard, the combination of the spikes digging down into the cheese and the pressure of moving it back and forth over the grater will cause the some of the cheese to crumble before it can be grated. I turn the hand guard sideways, so that the edges (designed to grip the sides of the grater) can trap the food and keep it under the guard. This isn't a great solution, but it helps. All in all, considering the price vs. the quality and features, I'm happy with the purchase.
