I picked up this 2-pack of Pro Mael Reusable K-Cups for use at my office, where several generous colleagues have Keurig machines (I don’t own one myself). These pods have worked out perfectly – with just a few important things to keep in mind.🔌 Compatibility Warning:These pods are NOT compatible with Keurig 2.0 machines. Keurig briefly implemented a DRM-style chip in those models (sold roughly between 2014–2017) that blocks non-Keurig branded pods. If you try to use these on a 2.0 machine, you’ll likely see an error message like:"This pod wasn't designed for this brewer. Please try one of the hundreds of pods with the Keurig © logo."If you’re using a machine made before or after that era, you should be fine.☕ Easy to Use & Sturdy Build:These pods perform exactly as expected: fill with about 2 tablespoons of your favorite coffee, pop them in, and brew. They’re made of stainless steel, which makes them feel sturdy and built to last. A bonus: no plastic taste, which you sometimes get with cheaper alternatives.🔥 Heads-Up: They Get Hot:Because they’re metal (stainless steel), they get very hot right after brewing. Unlike plastic pods, you’ll need to use a paper towel or wait a bit before removing them. It’s a small trade-off for the durability and improved flavor.👌 Great Taste & Value:The coffee comes out rich and flavorful – no bitterness or weird aftertaste. Plus, having two pods is great when one cup just isn’t enough.✅ Final Verdict:If you’re looking for a reusable, eco-friendly alternative that brews a solid cup of coffee and feels built to last, I highly recommend these. Just make sure to double-check your Keurig model before purchasing.

I tried this with several pre-ground store bought coffees and all sent an unacceptable amount of coffee grounds thru the filter. I have a grinder that I adjusted to a medium-coarse setting and that seemed to work much better. If your objective is to save money and reduce plastic waste from plastic K-cups, just make sure you try different grind sizes to find the best for you, but do expect to see some grounds in your coffee no matter what. If you expect no grounds in your coffee, you probably should stick with plastic K-cups.I gave it 4 stars not because of the excess grounds but because the filters came with no instructions. Expect to spend time until you have the grind size and amount dialed in. I've tried other reusable filters and they all have similar issues, so these aren't any better or worse, that's just what comes with using reusable K-cup. Otherwise, the filters look well made and should hold up to long term use. It comes with extra silicone rubber seals for when they wear out.

I have tried other reusable K-cup pods but have never been satisfied with them. I decided to give the Pro Mael 2-Pack Reusable K Cup Coffee Pods a try and was not dissapointed. As the product description clearly states, they are not compatible with 2.0 K-cup makers. I would suggest reading the compatibility disclosures within the product description to ensure fit with your model.Features I really liked:Quality construction and materialsPerfect fit in my KeurigEasy to fill with lid closing tightPurchase includes 2 reusable K-cupsEnvironment friendlyFeatures I did not like:You have to clean after each use compared to single use plastic cup which is easily thrown awayThe rubber gasket can come off during cleaning and can be tricky to but back in place - helps to wait until dryThe unit is very very hot if removed immediately after brewing compared to the plastic cupI would recommend this product to anyone looking for a reusable K-cup for non 2.0 models. The pros out weigh the cons for me but I'm knocking off 1 star due to cleanup hassle and gasket issue.Update 5/29/2025: I discovered the simple solution to the gasket issue and difficulty of cleaning which was to wait until the cup has cooled down. The grounds come out very easy and cleanup has been a breeze and I've not had the gasket come off. I'm upgrading from 4 stars to 5
