How to install
1.Tip the chair onto its side.
2.Use the rubber mallet to tap and remove the base of the chair away from the seat.
3.Use the pipe wrench to clamp tightly onto the top of the cylinder. Twist and then pull up in order to remove the cylinder.
4.Remove the orange cap of the new cylinder. Insert the bottom of the cylinder into the center of the chair base.
5.Carefully lift both the chair base and the chair cylinder into the chair mechanism. The parts will then fasten on their own.

Worked great. Just needed more tools to get the old one off the chair. And directions on how to do it quickly. A YouTube video helped. After getting the new one on, it was fine.

I have bought a heavy duty cylinder before and had no problems with that one, but this one let me down, figuratively and literally. Within a week or so of buying it it started to sink down, and yes I am a big man, weighing around 350, but this should easily hold me. Since it was my only desk chair I I used some clamps I had bought from Amazon also, to stop the sinking. They did slow down the sinking for awhile bought within 10 days the cylinder base looked as it does in the picture. From all the other reviews I think that I may have gotten a defective one. To Amazon or PROFECTUS, if you like me to send it back please let me know.

This new cylinder is absolutely wonderful. BUT it did not come with directions. For directions, you have to go online. The directions on how to remove the old cylinder didn't work. I ended up buying a chair cylinder removal kit. With the cylinder removal kit, removal was a breeze. So, save yourself aggravation and get the removal kit at the same time.

POS not accurite in size took 3 weeks to arrive, to short this is the third one i have replaced not all from this company but like the others this is faulty and a piece of chinese crap
