This needs batteries and does require a screwdriver to remove the back piece to change them. Works and is very fun as a fidget or just if you need something thoughtless to do

This is a very cute memory, quick track handheld game that runs on 3 AAA batteries (not included). I received the Grinch model, as seen in the picture. It has good sound and lights up well. You can lower the sound or turn it off . There are different game modes you can chose from. I like that you can start at higher levels if you are playing it as an adult and don't want to have to slog through the easy levels to get there. I admit, I was a tad confused at first as to where the "confirmation" button was. I could not tell from the picture. When I went back to the item page, it showed it being the battery compartment. I looked at the compartment and didn't see a button, but figured, what the heck, and I pushed. It turns out the whole battery compartment is a button ;). The reason I gave four out of five stars instead of 5 is because I've had two instances where it said I made a mistake, but I had not. This was after multiple games so it wasn't a big deal. Definitely recommend for kids and adults who need something to play or fidget with when they can't have or don't want their phone. It is a bit bulky for a pocket, but can fit in a bag or purse easily.

I bought this for my 14 year-old, but honestly, the whole family ended up playing with it. It’s a mix of a fidget toy and a speed game—great for keeping hands and minds busy. The 6 game modes add variety, and the lights and sounds make it super engaging. Great value for the price!
