Bought this as original equipment so assumed it would work. Also bought a new tank to use as auxiliary in my boat. Did not test it, but when I needed it the bulb would not pump gas to engine. New tank will work on my old hose so tank pick up tube is OK. Too late to return.

Replaced the 27 year old Merc fuel line with Merc parts. I dont skimp on critical parts line fuel hoses and bulbs. These new hoses are methanol resistant so run our modern crap fuel with peace of mind. This kit has 5/16" ID fuel hose. OEM correct for my 1995 115 HP Merc outboard.

It would have been nice to know that the primer bulb arrows points towards the male quick disconnect. Unfortunately a lot of portable marine fuel tanks have a male fitting requiring the hose to have a female disconnect. I can make this work by taking it apart and using worm gear hose clamps to change the ends - just more work.
