Put it on my 2007 Sportster, works great and looks good. The directions are hard to see, but its pretty easy to figure out and assemble. Also, I just loosened the exhaust and everything mounted right up. I did purchase a set of allen sockets and Loctite for the job.

The control fit good, and functions well, the only thing i did not know if I had a 2 in one pipe because they both go to the same side and bracket but did not combine into one pipe. i have sense learned that a two in one does go into one pipe. sounds logical but you never know. took about 2 hrs to install with removing the exhaust

Not super high quality but good for the price. Fit my 06 1200L perfectly.

As I write this, the controls are about halfway installed. And that's because I need to keep backtracking due to the retarded Taiwanese directions. I'm at the point where I need to grind about an eighth inch of material off the brake assembly as it hits my exhaust. If I'm doing something obviously wrong, please comment. But I've made sure I have the right bracket on each side and my brake lever is still grinding up against my forward muffler. Also, this is my second set as the first one had the missing shift side linkage bar. This is a sad case of "you get what you pay for", so, if you want my advice, buy another brand of controls. And if you have the 2008 1200R, these probably won't fit.-Update 6/2/2014: After a couple hundred miles, I have discovered the problem with these forward controls. The brake side bracket does not align correctly, causing the entire right-side assembly to have a downward tilt. This is why my brake pedal was coming into contact with the exhaust. The problem now is that my right leg sits lower than my right, causing discomfort after only about 15 minutes of riding. Unfortunately it's not really noticeable until you're riding and notice one leg is stretched out further than the other. Please, please, please avoid these controls, there are some serious quality issues going on here that can become a safety concern. It's not worth saving a hundred bucks or so to go through all the frustration like I have.

I have an 05 Sportster 1200 Custom with V&H staggered longshots. These forwards install easily enough. You need to look at the instructions carefully. And it's a lot easier to just remove the exhaust vs fiddling around in a tight space.Main problem for me was removing the rear brake linkage bolt. It was well hidden by the exhaust and uses a star allen, which strips way too easily. And since they used loctite, it will be hell to remove. I had to use vise grip pliers to grip the thing and torque it loose enough to use an allen. Otherwise very straightforward. About 2hrs installation, less if you know what you're doing.I scored this 4 because the pegs flex a lot. The originals hardly flexed but these do quite a bit. No big deal considering these are forwards and you're unlikely to stand on them or do much spirited cornering. With regards to riding position, these are very comfy. You will feel like you're sitting IN the bike rather than ON it. It feels right on a bike like this. I'm 5'9-ish and the bike feels very comfortable to me.

Now that I have ridden with them I am glad I did it. The directions were not clear about needing to remove the front muffler. You have to take it off to remove the stock foot peg bracket. Also had some difficulties with the foot peg bolt spring washer. I was able to get them on after several attempts. Directions don't really tell if they can be installed backwards. The pegs are a little up when the are supposed to be pushed all the way down. I'm not sure if that will be a problem or not. Overall I'm happy I put them on.

Chrome plating is good and thick be prepared to grind the pegs to get a good fit (for the pin to set). But to get it to open and close correctly with tension. Be prepared to search far and wide every hardware store and bike shop in your area to find a piece of spring steel and 5/16" cap head bolt (chrome hardened). As well as snap rings for the pegs. They don't send you all the needed hardware. They dont answer there calls or messages either. So dont expect getting anything from them. At least if I bought harley I could have gotten any missing hardware from them saving a week. It'll be done this week when the bolts come in at the harley shop, where a real person talks to you! As well as the brake linkage is week. I got what I paid for! Good Chrome, Decent Parts, Missing hardware (a pain to track down), and no customer service to get me the hardware that should have came with the packaging!

I bought these for my wife's 2004 883 Sportster. These were an exact fit. They look extremely nice and for the cost you can't go wrong. She loves riding it more now than she did before. Great Product! I would recommend this product. Now I just need to find her passenger pegs that match.Tips: Buy Loctite before you receive controlsTake lower exhaust off before removing and installing right side controlsCons: Difficult tightening brake arm linkage bolts.
