Keep feet warm and dry. If water does get in feet still stay warm. Used them on a swim with a wetsuit. Feet stayed warm the whole time.

I live in the Canadian Rockies and hike about 80-100km a month. For winter hiking I have tried all types of heated sock and heated insoles to keep my feet warm but it didn't matter since my feet kept getting wet. These socks are a game changer! They keep my feet so dry and warmer than my heated socks and/or insoles. I was skeptical before i ordered them about the material, thinking maybe I should order some type of liner but no! I am 7.5/8 womens shoe size and I ordered the xs Merino wool black socks and I wear them with my Danner hiking boots and my feet are perfect!I'm so impressed that I've been telling all of my hiking friends even random people on the trail. Finally something to keep my feet dry and warm in the winter!

The socks were OK but moisture still got in. They’re not 100% waterproof.

These socks are great at keeping water out. The only strike against them is that they are very warm to hot in warm weather. It has been an unseasonably warm fall where I am so my feet get hot in these socks. Should be great for the winter months.

Got these to wear in the Zion Narrows and Kanarra Falls hikes in September with hiking sandals. They kept our feet warm in the cold water, and kept some of the water out. They are thick, so be sure your shoes have enough space. Price was good so totally worth buying for just these two hikes.

Bought these for a trip to Iceland; I have great hiking boots but they are not waterproof bc of their mesh inserts (for breathability in hot climates). I really didn’t want to buy a whole different pair of boots, but people swear up and down that you NEED waterproof footwear for Iceland.Enter these socks! I layered them with wool socks underneath and they worked perfectly! My feet never got wet or cold. Not even once. Huge win!

I like the fact that I can pretty much put these on and walk all around my house radius, I would go to the store but I ain't that cool. Defently will cover your feet from water jut don't expect to be Jesús and walk through water, unless you live inFlorida and cheet. Easy to wash they don't get too dirty.

As a runner, there is nothing worse than skipping a run because of weather conditions. I found out about these from a women’s trail running community on Facebook. I was skeptical and yet decided to give it a try. I swear by these! I actually now look forward to rainy weather and slushy snowy roads so I can wear these awesome socks. Not only do they keep your feet completely dry on a long run (10-15 miles), they also keep your feet warm. They provide nice cushion! Highly recommend! Fit as expected. I wear size 7.5-8 in women’s and ordered size medium. Fits perfect.

Somewhat warm, 80% waterproof. For the price, I had higher expectations honestly.

I ordered these because just a few days before my marathon race. The forecast was 100% rain, whole day. At first, I had my doubt about these sock because there is a difference between water-resistance and waterproof. Some products claim they are waterproof but are actually water-resistance and you will get wet eventually. And there are quite a few reviews here said the socks are not waterproof at all. On top of that, not every pair of socks can be comfortable as running socks, especially in such long distance running. Despite all that, I still made the purchase and hope for the best.Upon receiving the product, just one day before the race by the way, they felt thick and soft in hands. The first time i put them on they felt a little strange. They don't feel like your regular socks which stretch and wrap round your feet without any room in there. But once I put on my running shoes, they felt great! So I decided to wear them for the marathon. On race day, It was raining the whole time and my running shoes were soaking wet even before the race start. But the socks kept my feet dry the whole time. They were comfortable for the whole run, no hotspot at all and I didn't get any blister afterward. I'm so glad I came across these and bought them just days before the race.

I like that these really did keep my feet dry taking a walk in torrential rain. I used a liner sock to make them fit & feel better. Dislike: they are high volume and are not a snug fit, but I expect most waterproof socks are the same way. So far I really like these.
