I had ordered a new coffee Decanter, not a used one. The one that arrived had stains in and outside and had a tiny smudge of rust at the bottom. I am keeping it, however, since I needed it. This was not what I expected. Disappointed.

Just in case you do not notice in the description, the pot is plastic. It does become discolored over time. That is not a problem for us. We generally break a pot every other month, this one has held up well. It has a slightly smaller volume than the glass, I have used the glass to fill the brewer and the plastic one will overflow. Using the plastic to fill and the glass will not overflow.
