Had really bad experiences with the so called 'brands' that sell cheap scooters. They became loose, rusty after 4-5 months of use. Although This one from 'razor' shows the quality. My 3 yr old really loved it and its money well spent. Its is Very light wight, has Aluminium frame and silent wheels. This is built in Vietnam so no cheap crap. Your kid will absolutely love it.

As far as scooters go this is the standard by which all are judged. Sturdy and even (though definitely not advised) an adult could ride it they are so ruggedly made. They are rated to 143 lbs. Set up is easy as they fold like a jack knife. Just unfold it, telescope the handle to the right height, and lock it all down and you are ready to go. Elapsed time under a minute. To store just reverse the procedure. It took longer to get it out of the box than it does to "assemble".The best part is the kids love these. They can go fast with minimal effort. The learning curve for a 5 year old is about 10 to 15 minutes to be able to ride. In addition, we see young teens still riding them at the local skate park doing tricks. So not only does the product last but so does the fun.A must have for most kids.

Yes, this is completely sufficient to sustain a grown man with no problem. I am a 230 lbs powerlifters and I ride this to work everyday NO problem. I even do hops and s***. Doesn't break, doesn't give any indications of breaking. And it rides very smoothly. Downside is, I can only fit one foot on the damn thing, but that's expected considering it's made for children. But the platform itself is still very big, it's about 15-16 inches. Find for regular sized feet. Not for an apes like mine.Oh yah and all of you who said you can't ride this as a huge adult. You're wrong. I hate people who say things without even knowing the true answer.

░░░░░THERE IS A REASON THE DESIGN HASN'T CHANGED IN YEARS░░░░░When a design works, it works. Don't mess with it. The good people at Razor figured that out many years ago and have kept the basic Razor scooter design the way it should be.The wheels spin well on low friction bearings. The wheels are durable, even on cement. They do wear over time, but are good for years of fun.

This scooter is AWESOME. It's well constructed, looks nice, and is easy to take pretty much anywhere. We have a relatively large family and I love that I can fold up a few of these, throw them in the back of the van, and they can play with them anywhere there's a little concrete. The folding feature is especially awesome for travel, and it's quite compact. It even locks when folded, which is great for getting children to carry their own (added bonus!). I would buy another in a heartbeat, and eventually will probably end up buying several more! I also love the color choices - great for multiple kids. I can't recommend this scooter highly enough.

I purchased 2 units, one blue and one red. My kids love riding them. The quality of the scooter is very good considering its price. The handle bar is easy to adjust with no tools.Kids can easily collapse and fold the handle by themselves for storage. The ride seems fairly smooth for them even over concrete sidewalks, although they prefer to ride on asphalt park trails. The rear fender brake works well. The good thing is they go about as fast as an adult jogging, so they can tag along when I go out for a quick run.I own a Xootr for myself, and compared to that unit these are toys, but for sub$40 what can one expect? :)

All three of my girls now have the Razor scooters in this style. They LOVE them. We have a large circle driveway, and all of my kids, ages 6, 7, and 8 will ride around for hours. We didn't want to get them motorized scooters, and these were a sturdy, pocketbook-friendly alternative. They fold easily and have shown to be very durable. We've had the oldest scooter for about 2 years, and it's still going strong. You can't beat it for the price.

This scooter was a request by my son for his 10th birthday and he loves it. It is easy to spot zipping down the street with the bright shiny red handles and wheels and the sturdy steel frame takes a beating and stands up to multiple drops on the sidewalk. It folds for easy storage and is surprisingly lightweight and the handle is height adjustable. Definitely worth the money for the years of use your kids will get with this item.

This Razor A Kick scooter is very affordable and easy to manage. My 6 year old opened the box and was able to get it ready to ride all by himself, even adjusting the height. The handlebars are comfy and there is a no slip grip for his foot. It fits him well and I know he's safe with it as long as he wears his helmet. I love that it folds and we'll be able to take it with us on trips to a park or wherever without worrying that we're taking up too much trunk space.Since it's adjustable, it is shared easily amongst friends of all sizes, from a small 3.5 year old, to bigger 9 year olds. The red is a good color for boys and girls. The scooter has held up pretty well despite rough play over the past 5 months, but the adjuster to raise/lower the handlebar does sometimes get stuck.I'd caution against leaving it outside during rainy weather as it can and will rust. Since it's lightweight, and since it's easily foldable, my kids are pretty good about bringing it inside without a hassle.I love the price as a good outdoor activity -- for around $25 I have a riding toy that all my kids can use if they don't feel like bike riding.
