This is the cutest little light and I love that it has string lights you can pull out. It's a tad expensive as a light and don't expect that its going to put off a huge amount of light to light up your path but for a small space and the fact that you can change the light's colors. Pretty cute.

The top of the lantern has a brushed metal look to it, and has a flip-up semi-circle for hanging. There are two light buttons on the top, one that controls the on/off and brightness of the main lamp at the bottom, and one that controls the on/off and color options for the string lights. I have to say, I actually like turning off the main lamp and keeping the string lights tucked in and turned on to multicolor, it gives a single space some fun mood lighting. In general I appreciate that the main light and the string lights are controlled separately. The main light has 3 brightness options, but the color remains as a warm yellow/white, which I really like. The string lights have a hook on the end so when you pull them out, you'll be able to use the hook to attach the end. To reel the strings back in, you hold the lamp and simply twist the top. Very easy to use, and impressed with its versatility.

I camp as much as I can, and I have seen a few people post videos or photos with similar lanterns, and thought they were super cute, and functional, a good combo - a lot of camping equipment swings towards tacticool instead of tacticute.So I jumped at the chance to get this, and was pleasantly surprised that it is super sturdy, I figured it would be a glorified dollar store thing, but it’s not. The shade part is metal, it has a good weight to all of it, doesn’t feel like it will fall apart after a short time. I noted the manual says to charge before first use, so I did. The provided cord is good quality, they did not cheap out completely (not top quality, but I don’t expect that for these kinds of products).I don’t go camping on holiday weekends, it’s too crowded, so this thing’s first use was hanging it on a hanging plant hook on my back patio and stringing it to another hook, and setting it to the option for multicolored “colorful” mode. I sat on the porch for couple of hours & then went into bed to read, and switched it to lantern mode with a plain white light, & used it as light to read by for a bit longer, before it finally cut off due to the battery being depleted. Over all, it was on for around 5 hours solid.I then plugged it back in to charge the battery again, and at first thought it wasn’t charging, so I fiddled with it a bit before realizing I have to look nearly directly down at it to see it, any angle obscures it. So I left it to charge and and it was topped up this morning.I have turned it back on to use for a bit of task lighting on my desk as it’s a gloomy day, and it’s working great, has been on for a couple more hours & is still going.It is simple to use, and the fairy lights and lantern light is controlled separately with their own buttons, and can both be used at once which is nice, though that of course will consume more power.I have already shown it to a few friends via photo and they want one, I won’t hesitate to tell them to go ahead & get one, as I really like it.

This LED camping Lantern is appealing. It can be used as a bright light by itself, or in combination with the string lights, which roll up inside of it. The top of the light acts as the mechanism which is turned to bring the lights back into the main cavity. The light itself can be hung inside of a tent or most anywhere, or carried by the handle.With five modes of lighting and 3 levels of brightness, this light is very versatile. It can provide bright lights, festive lights or ambient lighting depending on your needs. It is a good size and doesn’t take up much room for packing, yet isn’t so small that it is easy to lose. You might want to keep a carabiner handy or on the handle if your tent has a loop on which to hang a light rather than a hook. In my experience, though, most tents have a hook inside for a light. Be aware that this lantern is not 100% waterproof, but can withstand light rain or splashes, but not walks in pouring rain. This lantern is a fun and practical light source for camping, or for use in a porch, gazebo, or screenhouse.
