Easy to set up. Love that is wide and pretty tall. It's very easy to open. The lock stays in place. I would say 9 out of 10 for stability. When you get your adjustments right this gate is not going anywhere. I use it to keep the dogs form going past the hallway and it gets it done.

Keep some areas off limits during training, cleaning, etc. Easy installation. Useful for pets. Adjustable width to fit many household openings.

I was looking for a farmhouse “look” extra tall gate. I actually use them to separate certain parts of my house, because I have many rescue dogs.!! This one comes off of the kitchen into the laundry room and it’s absolutely perfect. It’s as aesthetically pleasing, as it can be for having to be a gate in one of the main parts of the house!! I highly recommend, super easy to put together and looks great!!

Easy to install, good instructions. As for durability I can't comment as we only install them as needed which is rare. They store well. Easy to get through the door- not really wide enough for 100% comfort but can shuffle through just fine. The look really sharp, really nice appearance to them. They have a latch at the bottom so a dog can't push their way through the bottom so be sure to install it in the proper direction if it's for dogs. We had it installed for about a week and it opened and shut nicely.

I have had one of these for several years and the latch broke a while back. I was able to adjust the spacing so I could continue to use it but it was kind of aggravating. The latch is simple and would be easy to replace but you can't buy one. I even called the company and explained the problem and assured them I was easily capable of replacing it and that there were no children in the house but they would not/could not provide a replacement, citing liability reasons. I even offered to provide a legal release. They make thousands of these gates and know the latch is a problem/weak point but will not provide customers with a part to be able to coninue to use their product. I guess that's how they sell more gates. Next time it breaks, I will switch to a brand other than Regalo.

Worst bit of this product is it will not fit if your staircase if its around 96cm wide, even though this is within the specified width for the gate. Reason being the two width extenders supplied with the gate are the same size, so you can try both and the gate won't fit or one and its too narrow.The really easy fix for the manufacturers would be to make the extension panels in two widths.At the very least they should make this point clear in the product description.The work around is to use a piece of timber as a blanking plate to decrease the width of the stair, not a hard job but requires a trip to the hardware store.Also to be safe this product must be screw fixed to the wall as stated by the manufacturers. It still feels a bit flimsy but has defeated our 2 year old 98cm 16kg boys attempts at escape so far. Without the wall mount he would pull it right off.Apart from the width issue fitting is easy.

Me gustó el diseño de la puerta, la madera y el metal están muy bonitos y se sienten resistentes. Fue bastante fácil de instalar cuando organicé todas las piezas y veía las fotos del manual.Lo mejor de esta puerta es que es bastante alta, y puede ser bastante ancha también por las extensiones que incluye, pero hasta cierto punto. Usé la puerta con una extensión para la entrada de mi casa, pero no pude usar la puerta con las dos extensiones en el pasillo de la entrada donde el espacio es más amplio, hubiera necesitado quizás dos extensiones adicionales. Entonces asegúrense de tomar muy bien las medidas. Al final aunque no me es 100% práctica le estoy dando uso y me ha gustado mucho.Es muy fácil abrir y cerrar, tienes que presionar el botón y deslizar el seguro. Ha sido imposible para mi perro hasta el momento "hackear" el sistema, siempre me aseguro de que todo este bien presionado y la puerta asegurada para evitar accidentes.No instalé los tornillos, tengo la puerta a presión y mi perro mediano sí ha intentado empujarla pero sigue estable por el momento. Como son barras, no hay mucha manera de que empuje como si fuera una puerta, no tiene muy bien de donde apoyarse porque las barras son delgadas. Pero puede buscar la manera en algún momento de rebeldía, entonces si en sus casas pueden instalar los tornillos háganlo, es lo más práctico. La puerta es alta, y no tiene ningún huequito por donde entrar, entonces me ha funcionado muy bien para lo que la necesitaba, la recomiendo para mascotas especialistas en escaparse y que les gusta saltar todo obstáculo que encuentren.

This safety gate it great. It was easy to install and looks very nice. The wood isn't as red as it looks in the photos which I was happy about. We love it.

I really can't find anything to detract from the quality, function and appearance of these gates. We have 3 English Mastiffs and prior to this purchase we have been using the traditional lattice style wooden gates to control their access in the house.The lattice style gates were effective, as our dogs do not lean on or push against the gates. They were however, not very attractive and passing through meant completely removing the gate and then replacing it.These gates allow us to pass through much quicker and don't require coordination of movement if more than one person is moving through. They feel very sturdy in place (even without the including mounting cups) and latching has a positive solid feel as well. I could not find any defects in construction and installation was simple, straightforward and done in under 5 minutes.The top latch is much improved over the other Regalo model (a vertical latch with a locking mechanism) in appearance and function and feels solid when installed.I am confident these gates will withstand the pressure of a small child pushing against them with one caveat. Be sure to install the gate with the stop (located at the bottom of the gate) facing towards the room in which you wish to contain your child or pet. This provides 2 points of contact to distribute the weight.Aesthetically they are really quite attractive and fit our decor quite well and while they are temporary and removable I find it unlikely we will remove them as long as we have pets and company.OK... Almost 2 months of use. Still very happy. Very solid and much easier access than the removable lattice style.So... Now the puppies DO push against the gate and at 120 pounds they can dislodge it (especially the top, which is NOT defective, you just need to tighten the screws until the latch makes contact) so I added the mountable cups which increases stability 100%.I always appreciate reviews that are written after some use rather than after opening the box, so I made it a point to add this note. If you do not see an update that means I am still happy with this product.So, I will update anyways... six years later and still the very best gate I have ever seen. Attractive and durable. These gates are essentially as solid as the day they arrived and the Mastiffs are still on the side they're supposed to be on.

Our first grandchild is due in December and we needed a gate to block dogs from the baby's areas. I've purchased doorway gates over the years, for my own kids and numerous pets. This by far is the best I've owned or seen in a store for our needs.Some of the features are things you don't always think of when shopping gates. Having an extra tall gate means that most people can easily reach to open it without bending over, a plus when carrying a baby, tray of food, etc. The one hand operation of the latch is smooth and ergonomically designed. It requires a natural feeling grasp which pushes a release button in followed by a slide back. Any pinch points are minimal so little hands and dog paws reman safe. It's JPMA certified (visit JPMA.org) so it's manufactured to safety guidelines for children. The powder coated metal allows easy wipe down for cleaning. The pressure mount means it can be installed without drilling or nailing into walls. It's overall feel is heavy duty, well made, and solid.The installation for this gate is straightforward. The only tool needed is something to cut with while removing the packaging. The main gate and frame can be used by itself or two included gate pieces can be added to increase the width. These are not extra extensions available for purchase for extra large openings. I installed the gate in a regular doorway with no issue. Then we moved it to a bottom stairway using the banister on the left and the wall on the right. The width at the top and bottom differed by 2 1/2" due to how the banister is cut. The mounts adjusted enough to account for this too.Some things to consider before purchasing this gate. There are several reviews reporting that buying the extensions for extra large areas doesn't feel all that stable. I don't have this issue but, examining the gate, it appears a couple of well placed black zip ties would be unnoticeable and tighten the sections together well. Still, another gate tailored to this need may be better. The latch that I love might not be so user friendly to someone restraining an older child. If they're old enough to stand and reach that high, they are probably smart enough to eventually figure out how it opens.This was a great find for me and I'll be purchasing a second now that we had a chance to check it out in person.
