I used these on a 7.3 Powerstroke, which were built without any gaskets at all. They are originally a machine surface sealing fit but after 200,000 miles things start to leak. I sourced these to create a sealed surface against any irregularities that had developed.These in my opinion are the best gaskets for exhaust your money can buy. Be cautious though, they have their own torque spec which is usually less than manufacturer. Check the packaging. If done right, these gaskets last a long time.
