Installing this gate was easy. It came with a wall template to accurately put the left and right anchors for the gate to attach and hook into. It did not come with extra hardware (scree and drywall anchor), but the drywall anchors that it did come with are a good quality. I had to use them on both sides and feel like it is secure.However, the gate mesh is a thinner material than other retractable gates I have installed. It also did not have a tight fit at the top hook of the gate. It rolls up uneven very easily. I would NOT put this at the top of stairs or in a place where you need a more taut gate for security.I am only using it to quarter off small dogs but if it's not locked and they put their paws on it (even if it is), it bends inward.My three star rating is because I have a comparable gate for less the cost that is much more durable.
