Fits just as described, includes a warning to make sure your mounting bolts fit! I did that and greased them prior to inserting. Noted the nut inserts didn’t look particularly’sturdy’. Barely held in with plastic. Very different design from OEM seat. I would describe these inserts with just one word, Crappy. I’m from the south and I’m not referring to fish, you boys know what I mean when I say Crappy!

This seat worked perfectly for me on an old JD 100 series lawn tractor (JD 115 not an L, LA or LX series tractor). It was replaced by just me in short order. Could have used another set of hands, but really easy, even for an old geezer like me. The parts needed for installation were a ratchet, a couple of sockets, a shade tree and a locally brewed beer that wasn't from a large brewing conglomerate. My tractor had SAE 5/16 bolts from the factory. So, I was able to use the original OEM bolts. Check the original bolts before actual installation into the seat before twisting off the embedded threads in the seat! If they bind up before going very far in, they aint right. You could measure them with calipers to see if you want. I just threaded the bolts in by hand first to see if they would bind before using a ratchet and installing them.I suspect, but cannot prove, that the bolts were changed by JD on the mowers sometime during the production period from SAE to metric.I have no idea what year that occurred, but I do not discount the other reviews that claim the SAE bolts need to be purchased separately.Nor do I discount their reviews that the bolts didn't line up perfectly. I would bet a grinder could fix that in short order, should you choose to do so. I'm hoping an expert on JD mowers can correct me or provide details on our different experiences and maybe what year it changed if I'm right.Anyway, I liked the seat. I believe my 115 was from 2005 or so and it already had SAE bolts from the factory. The other thing is that reviewer (Paige maybe...) provided a picture of the seat switch hole. JD seems to have had two different seat switches. Check out that review and make sure your switch matches Paige's, because that is what I received as well and matched mine. It was trivial to install once you figure out how to pinch in the tabs, pull in down to remove and reinstall in the new seat. This seat worked well for me, but I believe the other reviewers that it might take a little minor fab work on some newer Lawn tractors to fit just right.Regards,Upton O'Good
