This is a good, rugged little mount. I used one with one of the four bolt mounts to create a base loaded vertical antenna (used 1/8" copper tubing to make a coil).

I don't know that I was shopping for the correct mount, but I kept them for later use. They are made well, but from aluminum. So the antenna will have to be grounded accordingly.

I used it to mount an antenna on the spare tire carrier of a Jeep TJ. I originally had a home fabricated mount that stood up above the spare tire but there were always over head clearance issues. Lowering the antenna, for clearance purposes, did not affect its broadcasting ability and I was able to get a good SWR.

So, I am new to this. Well the whole CB in my Jeep thing. I prefer my hand held walkie talkie, but when you travel and ride with other everyone else has a CB. I have briefly looked into CBs and well I feel like I would need another degree to learn enough about them to make an educated response and explain my system to you. So, I got this to attach a CB antenna to the backside of my Jeep. My basic Wally World Cheap CB and my Cheap Fire-stick. Needless to say this was the second mount I bought because the first one didn't work. But this one, it worked perfectly. I chose this one because it was an all in one piece for me. I attached the antenna to the top and the wire to the bottom and it all screwed nicely to the bumper of my Jeep. Bam I was done. As far as quality this is a nice shiny piece of metal and it look and feels to be sturdy enough to get the job done. So far it has worked great as for getting enough reception for my family to ride around in the jeeps and talk. Enough Said right? It works and I'm Happy!
