This is the second Rohl sink grid I have purchased to protect my Allia porcelain sink. The last one was white. It did protect my sink for 5 years but it got damaged by inadvertent warm cookware and heavy use. The vinyl coating chipped. The sink still looks brand new though. The instructions that come with it say not to put warm cookware or sharp objects on it, but it is a kitchen sink so hard to avoid that all the time. Still, pretty happy with it and it lasted a reasonable time and did its job.Just bought a new one and I ordered stainless steel this time which is not vinyl coated. It matches my appliances and looks fine in the sink. I don’t think it will have the same problem as the coated white one. See photos.I would recommend both products, just be aware of the possible damage from heat if you order vinyl coated white rack.

I put in a clay sink 7 years ago and purchased a grid to protect it. The one I chose had a white plastic coating which started deteriorating as soon as I got it. By the end of 7 years it was pretty gross, with most of the coating worn off and everything sticking to it. It was a real eyesore and headache. This new one is stainless steel, seems to be a heavier grade of steel and came with bumper pads already attached. It's really an improvement over the original and protects my sink.

I have a French Farm Sink with an off center drain !Finally I found it on amazon and got it in 2 days . I am very happy with the quality and sink protectors 👏🏻 I got the stainless steel one even though my sink is white .

Have used this for over 6 years. Love it for keeping the sink from getting chipped and for elevating pans and dishes so they don’t sit directly on the sink. Maybe I don’t clean often enough, but it gets really scummy in the joints and underneath. Gunk grows in the little plastic bumpers and feet and is hard to get out without Qtipping them with chlorine bleach. Cleaning day becomes a big job. Too bad it doesn’t fit in the dishwasher. Thinking about cutting it in half so the smaller pieces will fit.

REad the reviews, they help determine what color to purchase. Also the paperwork that comes with it advises NOT TO PUT anything HOT ON IT. It is expensive and it's a need, NOT a luxury. I had a farmers porcelain sink at a previous home and chipped my sink. This NOT only protects your sink but all your dishes as well. This beach house will not have any chips in the sink!!

I got the stainless steel option. It fits great in the sink. Has excellent rubber bumpers and feet so I can raise it to clean under it without worrying about it scratching the sink. The drain opening is just big enough to remove the strainer w/out having to lift the whole thing. It stays incredibly clean--I spray it when spraying out the sink and wipe it down when I wipe down the sink. Even my silverware rest on it w/out falling through. I highly recommend this product. It has tiny rubber feet and the rubber is "slightly" discolored but it is tiny so you don't notice and we eat a lot of tomato based products and they always stain plastic.

We have only had it in for two weeks but it is really protecting our Rohl clay sink. Utensils, pans, dishes, sponges are raised so they do not leave a stain on the sink itself. The price was much less than other vendors especially the kitchen center from which we purchased the sink. I did not choose the white vinyl because comments said that tomato sauce stained it. So far no stains on the stainless steel. I totally recommend the grid.

This protects the bottom of the sink from metal marks, with the added benefit of keeping glasses from chipping if they tip over in the sink. The manufacturer warns it will stain from coffee or sauces with tomatoes so I make sure to aim for the drain when dumping out those items. We've had it for about a month and we are really pleased with the purchase.
