This was a gift for an older lady from Amarillo, TX. Needed a new boot jack (in some parts of Texas girls wear boots,, more as a culture thing than a fashion thing).Exactly as advertised. Knowing her, I highly suspect that it will be painted in wonderful southwest themed colors!

Boot Jack works quite well.If the Bug's antennae were angled upwards slightly more, this Boot Jack would be even better.

Great bootjack. Sturdy, the heel grip is wide enough but not too wide, and the tail is long enough for using your other foot for leverage. Would definitely buy again, good value for money.

Arrived promptly, when I opened it, I thought it may not work well as the prongs are low and closer together than the plastic one we had that snapped in two........this certainly wont snap, is very sturdy cast iron and is perfectly designed for purpose, removing boots of kids and adults no problem..

With an injured right leg, I was having a real struggle removing high topped snake boots. I tried several boot jacks. It still took many long minutes to get my foot out of that knee high boot. But this little bug gets it off with a couple of tugs! As an added bonus, on uneven tile, it rocks back and forth for nearly a minute, giving the bug the illusion of life! My granddaughter loves the effect!

There is just enough room between the antennae for my husband to pry off his wellies but I'm not sure it would work with winter boots for him. I don't have an issue with the size of the opening but it is a bit short in length to use gracefully. End to end it measures about 9 1/2 inches. Mine is not the color in the picture but rather solid black. It's not a deal breaker since the item is for function. It is also not as high in detail as depicted but still cute. For reference the photo contains my husbands 11.5 sized shoe. I don't mind that it's small since I keep mine inside the back door but if you are expecting a larger jack it might disappoint.

we have a sheep farm in oregon, which means that 3/4 of the year we have 50 acres of MUD. getting our boots off has been a giant pain for years, involving much grunting and groaning, straining and cursing, and VERY muddy hands. finally I had enough of it, and ordered this boot jack hoping it would make things a little easier.I am not just happy with it, I'm flat-out astonished! it truly does work like magic, we can slip our muddy boots off with no effort at all, cutting down on the general level of farm griping considerably. we love it so much, I'm ordering another, so we'll have one near each door.there may be other boot jacks that work this well, but I guarantee none look this cool while getting the job done!

I recently starting farming full time on our own little piece of land. Having not grown up in a farming town, I was not accustomed to the need to remove one's shoes several times a day to avoid tromping mud and such through the house. I did not know boot jacks existed! I saw an antique beetle boot jack at a friend's farm, and it made my life so much easier! Many times you're arms are loaded down with something and you need to remove your shoes, well now you can! Other times, you're back is tired of all that bending down (from planting or picking beans all day!) so not having to bend down to remove your shoes is a blessing! I got one for my 82 year old Dad who loves going for walks in the muddy hills, but has a hard time bending down to reach his feet. This boot jack will do the trick.
