Bought this Rome pedestal and a Rome sundial but the sundial does not attach to the pedestal!!!! I thought the Rome sundial was suppose to attach but instead just rests on top of pedestal!!!

Works well for my sundial, it’s sitting in the back garden…nice patina, appearance and quite sturdy; it is a little short for my liking though so we put it on some bricks to elevate it a bit

I bought this used (or customer return) from Amazon Warehouse. The description stated that there were cosmetic defects, and that's exactly the condition it was in. The paint was chipped around the top and bottom edges. I had an almost full can of spray paint from another project, so I just repainted it completely. It came out very nice.The price was great at $26.29 and I already had the paint for this. The casting quality is not the greatest, not being as smooth as some might want. But to me, the roughness is fine for my purposes.I had an older brass sundial for a few years just laying on a stepping stone in my raised "weed" garden. I thought putting it on a pedestal would improve the looks dramatically. My sundial was made for just a pin below to center it, so I drilled a hole in the threaded stud that comes with the pedestal and inserted a pin in it. The sundial and pedestal are weighty enough that they should be stable enough to stay in position.

This pedestal base works very well with the sundial I ordered. It is an attractive weathered greenish color. The pedestal is solid and heavy enough to that it won't tip over easily. Put together with the sundial, I have a very nice garden accent.

Item is exactly as pictured and as described. The size is for a smaller garden spot, as it is not real large. It is made well and painted well.
