At first I thought my battery was too weak to start the engine, but it checked out good. So I thought my starter was bad, and I might need to shell out $85 for a new one. Then I noticed that the solenoid was getting hot when I tried to start the mower several times in a row. Voila! Bad solenoid, and this new one took care of my problem for very little cost.

I receive the solenoid 2 days prior the delivery time. Today, it was my first time I had the time to install all. Sadly, it appeared I got a dode, the solenoid is not engaging/faulty....

My riding mower had a slow-start problem that eventually became a no-start problem. It would start if the solenoid was bypassed. This Rotary 14222 Starter Solenoid was an exact replacement for the old worn original. The motor starts easy with this new solenoid.

The solenoid came quickly and was well packaged. Within 5 minutes, I had this installed and the mower was back in operation. Super easy installation and hook up. Someone with zero mechanical skills can do this repair.I honestly don't know what else to say about it. It fixed the problem and I'm back in business. How much more can you ask from an Amazon item than to work exactly as intended?

Works better than the original. The factory part gave up at 22 hours on my machine. This part is still holding together nicely.

Perfect. My craftsman riding mower was making a clicking noise when I turned the key instead of turning over. I'm not much of a mechanic, but after digging around on forums and message boards and eliminating the battery, it seemed that the most likely candidate was the solenoid. The sears website wanted $40 for the same part. So I took a chance on this one. It arrived on a Saturday and 20 minutes later I had the old one out and this one in. Worked perfectly. Now my mower starts up like it did when it was new.

Fit my Craftsman lawn tractor perfectly! Seller was super helpful, as I was in a bind due to my very large lawn quickly becoming a jungle. I ordered it on a Wednesday and e-mailed the shipper asking if they could ship it right away. They were happy to oblige, and I had the part by the weekend. 15 minutes or so to install and I was making mulch. Would recommend!
