The boat handles 100% better now that I have wheel steering and not tiller. I did leave the tiller installed as I use it for my throttle. This was an original instalation on an inflaitable boat. I simply installed a steering console, wheel, and this steering system. Love it!

Bought this to replace the >10 year old steering mechanism in our 14 foot Logic with a 50 hp Yamaha. The pieces under the steering wheel were rusting out and the wheel was getting loose. Took me all day to remove the old mechanism and cable, yet less than an hour to install the new one.The result was very pleasing: no play, tight steering, no rust anywhere.As a bonus, the vendor included a free steering wheel with the box ($30 value). Unexpected and an improvement on our old wheel.
