I haven’t tested on the water yet, but the difference is like the day and night. Now I can move the engine with my hands.. amazing.. The installation was easy fallowing the instructions.. I did it by myself and not problema at all.. Can’t wait to try on the sea.

The steering system replacement has removed practically all the play that was previously so bothersome. On my center console the removal of the existing system and replacement was a somewhat timely and at times frustrating experience, but well worth the effort.

The helm, cable, mount, and bezel are great. I don't understand why plated bolts, instead of stainless, were included in the installation kit. I ended up have to go to the hardware store and buy stainless bolts to replace the ones that were in the kit. It wouldn't have been so bad but, I had installed 5 of the 6 bolts before I noticed that they were plated, and not stainless. Installation is simple, but not easy, unless you have good access to the helm. 5 stars for the product, one star for the hardware.

Was a perfect replacement for my old pulley/cable steering system. No headaches anymore and has worked on the boat for several years now.

Great product! Was a tight space conversion from cable and pulley steering system on a 59 Starcraft runabout but no problem modifying and installing. Used a 20 degree mount from utech also.
