So I needed for JD LA145. It seems to be a perfect replacement and hopefully lasts as long as the original (10 years). So I have 20 more years to go for this tractor.

I needed to install this spring myself (small female with little hand strength) and found a tip online. Use a dog leash with clip latch to pull the end of the spring to the deck opening (more forward connection for the spring) and get it in the little slot without hurting yourself or pinching fingers.

Fits and works like the original. Kind of wish John Deere would spec this for a thicker gauge wire as these break every 5 years or so.
