I have to admit, I was not thrilled on receiving this kit, on seeing the state of the filter screen (pictured).This being a Moka-pot-related part, there is going to be some hands-on effort, so some gentle bending got the screen into a nearly-flat condition, placing into the bottom of the Moka pot and screwing it down to the water container (with silicone seal in place), good and tight, finished the job and left the screen flat.I have an off-brand Moka and again, hands-on, so no points off though the items are shipped in a non-rigid plastic bag, it all depends on what else is in the package… the overall value makes it all right.Otherwise, the parts fit and function as expected. This is my first replacement, I was not sure how the fit would turn out given that mine is not The Real Thing, but I am no longer concerned. In fact, the filter screen (once flatted back into shape) is more shiny and smooth than the one that came with my Moka, so something of an improvement.

Great value for 6 cup Bialetti. This produced the appropriate seal and is silicone which will last longer and actually produces a slightly tighter pot. That's a good thing. It means you're letting the Moka pot do the work it needs to do. The filter is also a standard size and great back up if you're filter is clogged. Great value and I expect this would last 1 to three years depending on your usage case.
