A necessity for long days on the water and well worth the money. High quality and stays in place on the deck without needing to stick it in place with adhesive.

After 2 months using this pad I have to say that is absolutely worth it. I work as a captain for a private vessel, 48’ center console with quad merc 450’s and we do some long runs to the Bahamas going at high speeds for long periods of time and the next morning with out the Skydex my lower back was just killing me, my feet where killing me, now that is a thing of the past. It makes a real difference.

This mat is way too hard and provides very little cushion. I run a charter boat in St. Thomas Virgin Islands and on my feet at least 4hr a day running in 3-5ft seas. The cheap kitchen mats from home depot are way more comfortable they just don't last. I think I might take out the center shock core and replace with a softer material.

When I saw the price of $200 I was not thrilled but I wanted a good mat and it was highly recommended so I bit the bullet and bought it.. When it arrived it sure felt too stiff and I was wondering if I would like it. To make a long story short, I used it on a bumpy ride and it's amazing! It absorbs the shock perfectly. Knowing what I know now about it if it was $300 I would still buy it.

So I was on the fence on this one. But after going through a few of the "standard" mats, loosing two to the wind and one really uncomfortable one I decided to try it out.I will say it's not very soft until it's gives way to the pressure. I tried to add a yoga mat as some reviews have mentioned but I couldn't get it to fit. So I'm hoping that the "shockks" will become a bit softer over time. I'm 6ft, 270 lbs and I have to really dog in to get it to move.So as of now I'd recommend it, it's super well built and heavy so you don't have to worry about sticking it to the floor.

Awesome durable anti fatigue mat for the boat. Although I do wish it was a tad cheaper, you can appreciate the time invested into its design. If you can afford it, you wont be disappointed. Straight out of the box, you will probably think its too firm, but I have to recommend you giving it a chance. It softens up just the right amount with use, and you'll be thankful its not too cushy on the rough days.

When I ordered this pricey one, I also ordered 3 cheap ones. No comparison. This thing really works well on the feet and legs while hitting big waves on my 25 foot boat offshore. Well made. Looks like it will last a long time. I weigh 210lbs. Seems hard until you hit a good wave. Does not slip on wet deck. Save your back and legs, get one, or two! Just as a side light, when I was young and foolish, 50 years ago, I used to take a 23 foot Mako, 50 miles out into the North Atlantic fishing from Montauk at full speed. I actually broke the aluminum gas tank. I never worried about my body. Years later I had to have back surgery. Boat pounding really does a lot of damage to your back long term

I run monthly tuna charters out of the GOM and we get pounded by rough seas. I finally decided to purchase a shock absorbing mat to help with foot and ankle fatigue. I read reviews and despite the high cost I decided to purchase this item. When it arrived I noticed that it was very firm. I am 6'3" 245 lbs and I could barely compress it. Despite this I decided to try it on my next trip. I used the mat for six days straight in 3-6 foot gulf chop. The mat stayed in place relatively well, I did notice relief on impact but feel that it could have been much more forgiving. I am sure that SKYDEX is a great company and that the mat will last for years, I was just disappointed in its perceived shock absorption especially considering the cost.
