I pack this chair pad with me almost everywhere. Fits easily in my backpack or not too obvious carried by its handle. Gel pad is thick enough for any surface, including the ground.

This is a really handy little cushion that folds up. However, given restaurant and cafes tendency these days to have metal chairs or hard wooden seats, I really found I needed more padding. I still take it with me to put on other softer seats to help my spine.

I had spine surgery and this did the trick on a 24 hour nightmare plane trip to Hawaii!

Just took this on a flight from New York to Hawaii - and it was not good. I struggle with longer flights because my butt goes numb and gets sore so I can’t get comfortable and sleep. I thought to buy a seat cushion to see if it would help. I tried it at home first and I wasn’t sure honestly if it would help (because it did seem very firm) but the reviews said people took it on a plane with great success so I thought I would give it a try. The good - it’s small and easily fit in my backpack to bring on board. The bad - my butt was numb and sore within 1 hour of the plane taking off, which is actually much quicker than what I’ve experienced without using it. Overall it was a waste of money for me. After 4 hours of sitting on it uncomfortably I forced myself to put it back in my bag and might even just leave it in Hawaii instead of bringing it back home.

I had a friend buy a portable/folding seat cushion for his international trip and I thought, that was smart. So, when I was about to take an international trip I decided to look into a seat cushion. I was a bit setback by the price of some of them. But this one was 30% less and had the same features. So, I took a chance. My flight was 10 hours and I can tell you this made a huge difference. On my prior international trips I would get a numb butt towards the end of the long flight and no matter how many times I got up and walked the isle it quickly became uncomfortable after sitting back down. With this cushion, I sat the whole time and only got up to use the latrine. It made a very big difference. The only draw back is it takes up some space in the back pack or carry on luggage that you may have used for other conveniences and ways about 3 lbs. But, it's worth the sacrifice. This is a game changer for trips of any significant length. This cushion comes in two pieces that is held together by Velcro so you can space them apart for optimal butt cheek positioning, or other uses. You can see this from other reviews so I didn't add any pictures. It then folds in half so it's a bit more compact to fit in your backpack or hanging it off the outer part of your luggage. I wish it was a little less expensive, but this is totally worth it.

I’ve had it for a while now and I saw it again as I was packing. I was recently on a 16 hr plane ride and then I got reminded why I have not been using it. The butt pads are too wide apart, the cushion becomes warm after a few hours and I get very aware that I am sitting on something. I constantly had to move around because the cushion got very uncomfortable. I ended up having to take it off 😣

I chipped my tailbone when I was young. It always lets me know that there’s still an issue there but recently I went to a theater and sat for three hours. When I tell you that I could barely stand up at intermission, I was mortified and scared. Also humiliated because the other guests that I was surrounded by were all elderly people lol and I was the one having trouble standing up straight. I went home that night and found this product that I could carry in a large purse, and be discreet, but still enjoy life when I have to sit down. After receiving the pad, I drove to Orlando for a weekend getaway ( a three hour trip). I’m happy to report that I got out of the car with No problems after sitting that long. Very happy Customer

I developed problems sitting on my tailbone while traveling at the age of 63. I am athletic and on the thinner side. I have several different seat pads I've bought, one that is at my computer desk all the time, another that I've traveled with as we fly about 15 times a year. They have all been big and cumbersome, but have alleviated my problem. However, I accidentally left one of my traveling seat pads at an airport restaurant the last time we traveled...it was also what I used when traveling in our car. I searched for a good replacement hoping to find one that wasn't so big. This has one been fantastic!! Because it is about half the size of others and folds (with a handle to carry it) it has been perfect! I now bring this to fly, travel in my car, but also at arenas or sports venues where there is bench seating, it is perfect!

I bought this for sitting on the hard outdoor chairs at my local coffee shop. I really liked the small size, which makes it easy to carry. Unfortunately I didn't find it to be much more comfortable than sitting on a bare chair. The pads are quite small, so you get a pressure point on your upper thigh. When I moved a bit in the chair, the pad became uncomfortable since it must be accurately aligned with your pelvis. I'm a tall guy so maybe I'm just too big for this. The padding was way too firm for me, but others might like the support. I'd say if you are a small to medium sized person and like firm support it might work for you; otherwise look for something else.
