Claves traditionally are used for rhythmic patterns; They produce bright, cracking sounds to keep the beat. Both are the same size, although one is the "male" Clave, to be held in a cupped hand, and one is the "female" Striker, to tap against the held clave. Test to discover the difference - when the correct clave is tapped with the striker, it will produce a lower, more resonant sound. Priced per pair.
