I bought this ALKALO 100-Page Linen Hardcover Journal for my son to take with him to spend-the-night camp, and it turned out to be the perfect choice! The hardcover design is sturdy and durable — exactly what I was looking for, knowing it would be tossed into a backpack and carried around all week.The linen cover gives it a nice, classic look, and the college-ruled pages offer plenty of space for him to jot down daily notes, memories, or even sketch a bit. The binding is solid, and the pages turn easily without feeling flimsy. It’s just the right size — not too bulky, but enough pages to last through camp and beyond.He ended up really enjoying writing in it each night and even brought it home with a bunch of entries and doodles to share with us. Highly recommend this journal for kids heading to camp or anyone looking for a durable and stylish notebook!

I'm kind of picky when it comes to notebooks - I've tried so many that either had paper too thin for my pens or just felt cheap overall. This one hits all the marks and then some.The paper quality is what really sold me. At 100gsm, it's noticeably thicker than your average notebook, and my fountain pens don't bleed through at all. I love that it's college ruled with 7mm spacing - keeps my handwriting looking neat and organized without feeling cramped. The perforated pages are genius too - I can tear out meeting notes to share with colleagues without ruining the whole notebook.The design details really make it feel premium. That gold foil "NOTES" on the cover looks so clean and professional, and the linen texture gives it this sophisticated feel that makes me actually want to use it. The gold-edged corners are a nice touch that I didn't expect - they're not just decorative, they actually seem to protect the notebook from getting beat up in my bag.I use the elastic band constantly to keep everything secure, and that back pocket has been surprisingly useful for storing business cards or loose receipts. It's those little thoughtful touches that show someone really designed this with actual use in mind.I've been using it for about three months now - mostly for work meetings and some personal journaling - and it's holding up beautifully. The binding is solid, no pages coming loose, and it still looks almost new despite being tossed around in my work bag daily.Honestly, it's made me enjoy writing by hand again. There's something about the quality that makes the whole experience feel more intentional and satisfying. I've already ordered another one for when this one fills up, and I'm thinking about getting a few as gifts because it's the kind of thing that feels special but is actually practical too.

I'm updating an old website and needed a blank notebook to include detailed instructions, organizational notes and simply ideas for different directions I can go. This large book is perfect in that it's simply a book with blank lines that can be filled with absolutely anything! There are some bends in the pages throughout the book... they must have occurred prior to shipment because the book was sealed on arrival with no damage. Sharing a picture because this might be important to you. For me, a 4 is just too low so I give it 5 stars.It's has a beautiful fabric cover with a linen-like color and appearance. It's simply titled "NOTES" yet has an elegant feel to it with the golden colored metal corners. These help keep the book looking good by protecting from crimped or damaged corners. The elastic band is convenient to keep track of where I've left off. There's also a paper pocket at the back of the book for loose papers. I counted 50 total sheets that are double sided for 100 total pages. They also appear to be perforated. One more thing... with the coil binding, this book can be opened completely with the front folded behind the book so it lies flat. Very nice!I'm so happy that I can organize this special project with this lovely book.

First off let me say that the linen cover on this notebook is quite nice and understated. An elastic strap to keep the cover closed is provided, and because it is ring bound it lays open perfectly, or you can rotate the front cover all the way around and under the back cover, and have a pretty decent writing surface if you are writing on your lap instead of a table. I also really like that each sheet of paper is perforated for easy removal.However, there are only 50 sheets of paper in here, which is not a lot for 10 bucks. Also, while mine came shrink wrapped without visible exterior damage, nor was there any visible damage to the shipping box, over half the sheets of paper showed visible imperfections, such a extraneous ink marks, dimples, ripples, creases and the like. Because there was no damage to the shrink wrap or mailing box, I am assuming these were introduced either in manufacturing or assembly and thus you might encounter it in your own purchase. It isn't the end of the world, and none of the imperfections cause the notebook to be unusable, but it is something of which to be aware.Finally, the paper is thin and does an okay, but not great, job of stopping print from showing through. The factory printing (lines, page and date) on the obverse of each page shows through to the front. Pencil and regular ball-point were fine, but ink-gel and yellow highlighter over pencil showed through too much for my taste. Sharpie bled through clearly, so don't plan on anything like that.I like the size of this notebook, and I really like the linen cover. I do wish it had more paper -- 100 sheets would be much more useful, and I wish there was a bit more care taken in either manufacture or assembly to prevent damage to the sheets that are there. Finally, even just a slightly thicker paper would not be amiss.
