I was having fuel issues W/my Husqvarna 2-cycle brush-cutter (big weed-whacker) after 7 years of fairly heavy use. It was apparently a fuel issue. All my 0n-line research indicated "rebuild or replace the carburetor." Having rebuilt automotive carbs years ago I felt confident I could rebuild this tiny thing - especially after watching the YouTube video of one being rebuilt. Ordered this kit and it arrived in a few days in a padded envelope. Before ordering I looked up the proper rebuilt kit for my carb a "Zama EL-24" online. You will need, a 4mm Allen head - the one that came with the cutter works, also fine needle nose pliers, forceps or even tweezers, and a Phillips screwdriver. There are NO instructions provided, so disassemble one side at a time, laying the parts out in order. Note: there are gaskets and rubberized diaphragms on both sides, keep them together, and in order. Actually they will not fit backwards but it makes reassembly quicker and easier. When you remove the screw that holds the needle valve, hold it down - small spring underneath.Have a can of aerosol carb cleaner W/nozzle - Wal-Mart auto section - and once the carb is down to the metal body blast out every orifice - shield eyes stuff goes everywhere - also find a very small wire thread - I used a tiny strand of cable wire stripped from landscaping wire, held in forceps - a pin is way too big - run it into every tiny orifice. Pieces of crud collect in them and will cause fuel issues. You can also soak the carb body in a can of carb cleaner - auto parts store - but these carbs are so small the aerosol can is quicker & works fine, also when you blast the pin-hole size orifice, you see it come out at the other side, confirming it is open and clean. Don't forget the small very fine fuel screen. I removed mine, found it gunky and just blasted it clean and reinstalled it, did not need the new one provided.Reassemble in the reverse order - diaphragm and gasket on each side and the needle valve pin and lever. That's it, put back on motor, also a new spark plug gapped correctly is not a bad idea, and fresh, premium gasoline W/additive - also Wal-Mart - to keep rubberized and Mylar gaskets from the harmful effects of ethanol in the gasoline. You will need to reset the Hi & Lo idle mix screws and the idle speed screw. Also check your fuel lines, they are exposed to severe heat and crack easily and are V-easy to replace. Also, - I learned this the hard way - NEVER leave gas in a 2-cycle for more than a day. I now drain mine after each use and during winter storage. The ethanol in the gas deteriorates the rubber and Mylar gaskets, my old ones were stiff, crunchy and ruined. You will likely have parts left over from the kit, I did. In the shown picture I did not need top row center, Bottom row center or the triangle shaped metal piece. I used everything else, except the new fuel screen, as mine was cleanable. Apparently this rebuild kit fits other models. All told, about 90 minutes, and it ran W/the first pull,Why only 4 stars? The price. This is about $1.00 in parts and almost $10 is gouging. I researched and Amazon has the lowest price - because they did not charge me tax or shipping. The kit is available from many dealers, for as much as $20+ W/shipping. I have ordered a 2nd kit, for my pole saw - same motor as brush-cutter - its running fine, but its the same age and its rebuild is on route, I can feel it.
