This Sunbeam carafe is smaller than the original Mr. Coffee one. It comes with a lid insert that, when added, allows the top of the carafe to connect with the basket holding coffee grounds above it. The smaller, 4-cup carafe will be useful only for making a very limited amount of coffee. Also, the lid does not tilt up but must be removed completely before carafe is rinsed out. The Mr. Coffee carafe was larger and easier to use.

I ordered several replacement 4-cup glass coffee carafes for my 4-Cup Mr. Coffee maker. They are perfect, but I noticed a significant price increase from the last time I ordered a replacement carafe.

This is a well-made little pour-over pot. Coffee lovers should note that it's a four six-ounce pot ... so, for a coffee drinker like me, that's two mugs worth plus a little extra. But, that's enough to get me going in the morning. More and I'd be zipping, and when I feel the need for a cup later in the day, it's quick to make a fresh cup ... or two!

This pot is 4 cups if you fill it to the brim. The Mr. coffee is 5 cups filled to the brim. I guess is works fine for Sunbeam coffee makers just not big enough for Mr. Coffee

The carafe fits perfectly and I was very happy to find it arrived with two different lid inserts so I could choose the one which will allow the carafe to fit properly in the machine. The only reason I didn't rate this five stars is that the lid does not flip open and is completely detachable. Otherwise, I'm satisfied with this purchase.
