Stopped using it because I put my hand in the aquarium while it was running and got shocked. Threw it away immediately. It was used for approximately 6 months, there were no damage to the cord or the body of the unit. The plastic shaft of the impeller broke early in the use but it still worked.

Honestly, I never write reviews. I receive my goods and use them. I purchased this for a fairly cheap price not expecting the quality and and the all-around great craftsmanship that came with the product. I took it out of the package put it together. In about two seconds, put it into my hundred gallon ciclids Aquarium and let it rip And it immediately blew up all the waste that I did not even know was at the bottom of my tank immediately all in all great product for the money

We love this wave maker helps keep the fish peaceful in my 200 gallon and really works well for moving all the ways to one side of the tank where the filter is. I would buy it again as we’ve had no issues yet.

absolutly wonderful for the price.one point is the little pin that holds the pump to the succion cup is a bit weak. so handle it with care.other than that. 100% worth it.

I really like the power it has! My Oscar's have gained a lot of girth since I've installed it. But the set up on it is pretty bad. It is constantly coming off the glass in my tank due to the locking lever being backwards. If that was set up the way it was suppose to be i would be amazed with it. It still runs like the day I bought it and I have it in a 55 gallon tank. It collects alot of food so I had to put it deeper in the tank obviously. (Edit) after I just put this review on here I decided to take it out of my tank and see how its put together. And to my surprise it was very simple to take apart. So I did and flipped the lock over and put the o ring in where it was suppose to be and it works like a dream now. It locks to the glass and stays where I want it adjusted to. Definately worth it for the price! I'd buy another one for sure! Thank you

When I took the wave maker out of the box I noticed the insulted wire was split where it entered the unit. This caused concern for a possible electrical issue. I decided to test the product in a bucket off water before installing it in my aquarium. So glad I did this because although the pump worked fine, oil spots appeared on the surface of the water in the test bucket. I emptied the bucket, added fresh water and tried again with the same results. Then I made a comparison test with a Hydor nano 425 that I also own, no oil showed up. I am very dissapointed and will not be using this wave maker.

There is no doubt the plastic pieces on this unit are cheap, but it works well and is quiet. I can understand the negative reviews about quality, but considering the cost, I am impressed. It does stay put, but I wouldn't mess around with it too much once positioned if you can avoid it.It provides really nice flow even if the 1585 gph is overstated and the attachments are a nice bonus so you can direct the flow. The attachments have to be pushed all the way on to stay in place.I put mine on a timer to run in 1 hour intervals and it seems to start and stop without issue. I think you could probably even put this thing on a wave timer without serious complication.I looked into the Hydor Evo line (http://www.amazon.com/Hydor-Koralia-Evolution-Aquarium-Circulation/dp/B0036RXO3O), which has a much nice suction cup mount with a magnet. That mount alone costs more than twice as much as this unit and seems to be why a comparable model costs 3-4 times as much and still have issues.I wouldn't expect a lot of reliability at this price, but it does the job.

This blow works great in my tank, the only thing is I wish I would have ordered the one that is magnetic and spent a few dollars more but its so much easier than having this clip on one. The magnetic ones never fall and these seem to fall sometimes and are kind of annoying to deal with. So next time I will order the magnetic one instead of this one.My package was received on time as expected and was properly packaged.

This pump is awesome! Seller was right of backing it's name on this pump, I chose this pump over the JVP-202. Yes, 202 was a very powerful pump but the suction cups holding it kept on dislocating which obviously cannot hold the pump's power. This JVP-201 though came with a very nice suction holder which also is a very powerful pump that circulates all the water in my 75 gal tank. Make no mistakes in trying out other expensive brands and go with this pump as it really is the one you're looking for.
