I purchased these but decided afterwards that I needed a different and a more practical battery terminal connection for my car because of aftermarket things that need to connect to the battery terminal. However; these are still a great product and get the job done.

I ordered 10 sets of these just to find out they all were poorly manufactured.-The nuts are too small for the terminal nut-capture slots so the hardware spins freely.-Most of them were painted all over, meaning they wouldn't allow continuity.-Some of the terminals were already bent as if they were used.-When trying to file off the painted surface I went straight through and gouged the cheap pot metal.Do not buy these. Spend good money and get real copper terminals. These aren't worth the hassle.

My old truck uses top post batteries with these clamp-on battery connectors. Nowadays it gets driven very rarely, and it's parked outside. The other day it refused to crank even though the battery showed a full 12.6V on the terminals. I wiggled one of the battery cables and the terminal on the negative post broke in half, a victim of corrosion.I keep a few replacement parts on hand so I dug in my stash and came up with a spare battery terminal. After cleaning up the cable, battery posts, a few grounds, and the connections on the starter solenoid, I put the new terminal on and the truck started right up.I can't really complain. The last terminal survived 10 years and 2 batteries, and I bet it would have kept going if I'd been a little more diligent about cleaning and greasing the battery terminals periodically. I immediately went online and bought this terminal set, which is exactly the same type that I bought years ago.No, these aren't aerospace quality. They're inexpensive and will probably not last as long as a factory terminal. However, I find that if I coat everything in grease, it keeps corrosion at bay and these terminals last a decent amount of time. I wouldn't recommend them for a very high-amperage installation, but for my old truck they work and are cheap.

As someone else pointed out, when you try to tightened the two little wire clamp bolts on top, you may notice that they don't fully tighten. It just sorta spins. The problem is there are little nuts on the underside of the clamp that are supposed to be set in recessed hexagonal holes, however, the holes are a bit oversized for the hex nut, so the nut can spin in the hole. Lame! However, I was able to squeeze the sides of the clamp around the hex holes with pliers to keep the nut from spinning. Its lead, so its pretty easy to squeeze. I was then able to get both bolts locked down tight. Had I not had to do that extra step and waste time fiddling around with it, I would have given it 4 stars. If I could buy just a two pack and not a four pack, I would have given it 5 stars.
