This is super cute. The double-sided tape that goes around the vase and holds the pencils has great adhesive and the pencils stay securely on it. However, when the heading says "DIY," it means it, so you have to have the patience and aptitude to stick each pencil on the vase straight and nice. I, unfortunately, am not that person. Hence, another option for this set is that the colored pencils can actually be used. They're literal colored pencils, not just figurines of them. They're quality colored pencils. There are 2 of each color. Therefore, this also makes a great gift for an artist and the "vase" makes a great receptacle for all these pencils. This is a good product and worth the money as a gift to anyone, whether as a vase or as a colored pencil holder.
