TechSpec’s, Motorcycle Tank Grips were developed to improve body, bike control and increase riders comfort. Gripping your motorcycle between your knees or thighs improves overall control of your ride by better securing your body weight and seat position under the forces of braking, cornering and acceleration while also relieving pressure from your wrists, elbows, shoulders and lower back giving you increased control and a more comfortable, safer ride. Snake Skin is a thin, .125” medium durometer “rubber” material that offers a secure, comfortable grip, durable protection and a clean stock look. This product is idea for improving knee grip on motorcycle gas tanks. I’ve been using it for more than 20 years on sport bikes, touring bikes, and dirt bikes Provides wonderful grip with leather, denim, or synthetic pants without damaging the pants.

Easy to cut to shape. Adhesive is great and stays stuck in all weather & conditions. Much more comfortable and easier to hold the bike with your knees.

So the one thing you might need to know is that it seems TechSpec has updated its snakeskin texture, which I actually prefer!The snakeskin material I got is thinner than previous versions and a bit more coarse and grippy. To me, these are positives, as they lay flat against curved surfaces more easily and have even more grip. However, it is noticably different than previous iterations, so if you're laying new material next to old, it won't mesh visually.My one gripe is that the adhesive on these newer versions seems to peel off of the grip material and stick to whatever it's mounted to. Some WD-40, a lot of friction and a microfiber towel will get it off, but it's a real pain. Mine was on a vinyl wrapped portion of my bike, so I didnt risk scratching the paint, but that's definitely something to keep in mind.All in all, solid grip material, it actually sticks to my tank better than the previous batch, but definitely be careful to not lift up the pad without the adhesive stuck to it

The material is very thick and nice, but the adhesive peeled off the back of the tank guard material when i was removing the plastic to apply. I would think the adhesive would adhere to the product better. It's almost as if the rubber wasn't cleaned before the adhesive was applied.

I used this sheet to apply grip to my 2007 gsxr-750, without covering the graphics like the pre-cut versions do.While, there is some lost grip by minimizing the area where the knees rest most, there is still plenty of added grip, and looks of the bike are not negatively affected.The snakeskin pad provides loads of grip without being rough on pants.It is very noticeable on hard leaning turns, but mostly when you have to brake hard (no longer slide into the man jibblets)
