While I gave the guitar 4 stars, 4.5 is probably a fairer overall rating, 5 if you're comparing it to similarly priced guitars. The sound is super bright, and loud. No problem playing this in a small to medium sized room and having every single person hear you. This is a dreadnaught style guitar, and as such it has a really large body, which contributes to the excellent sound, but might make it difficult to play for smaller players. Given this body style has no cutaway, it's difficult to really play the 15th fret and beyond as you have to lay your hand on top of the body, slightly damping that beautiful bright sound. Not a big deal for most acoustic tunes, but may be an issue for jammers. Action is excellent, and as I've mentioned a number of times I love the sound. If you're not a really small person, this is an excellent choice for an acoustic dreadnaught style guitar.

I own a Teton 155 Cent Acoustic Electric Guitar. It is really a nice guitar and sounds as good as my more expensive Alvarez,or Walden. Teton did a fantastic job with this guitar, it sings like a bird, it does not matter if your finger picking or using a pick. This little baby will be with me for ever, it has become my main playing and touring guitar. Love it!! I would recommend it without any reservations. DB

I was looking for a 'beach guitar', one to use when not performing, or around kids, etc. Had a chance to purchase a Teton STS105NT from a guy who said it was like new. Got it cheap. Wow! Mint condition, and a really beautiful guitar. The work is absolutely great, the only thing I would change if performing with it is to file down the metal fret dividers. Man,this is as nice as my Guild or my Gretch. Amazing tone, sustain, and the bass notes are top of the line. You on the fence? Get it!!

I've always wanted to own a 12 string acoustic guitar but avoided it because of the quality vs cost dilemma. It's hard to justify the purchase of a $1200+ "niche" instrument just to get one that sounds and plays well. Most of the low end ones just feel and sound downright cheap. That changed when I walked into the guitar shop and saw the Teton STS105NT-12 hanging on the wall.I had been introduced to Teton from a family member who bought one as a beginner instrument (STS105NT 6 string). They asked my opinion and I answered by not being able to put it down. Great action, very decent build quality, and the tone was shockingly vibrant and powerful while maintaining that wonderful "darkness" from the solid cedar top. To be sure it wasn't a "high end" guitar, but after having worked in the music retail industry I've been exposed to a wide variety of instruments in this price range that are poor in comparison.Long story short, after having thoroughly enjoyed the STS105NT I was thrilled to try out the STS105NT-12. Much like with its 6 string sibling I was again blown away, so home with me it went! Here is a list of important qualities it has:- Stays in tune well- Action is very comfortable making it easy to fret- Neck is straight- String spacing is ideal for finger picking- Great tone- Build and material quality is similar to what you would expect to find from those big name "low end" guitarsIt's a true jem of an instrument for the price and I highly recommend it. The one small downside (if any) is the lack of electronics, but that is more of a preference and shouldn't deter most people. Teton also appears to be a decent company so I imagine any warranty issues would be easily resolved.

I've played many guitars in the same price range as the Teton STS105NT. This guitar has an exceptional tone on the bass strings. When I picked it up and played it I knew it had the sound I was looking for in an acoustic guitar. It's not necessarily pretty, but it sounds great!I would highly recommend this guitar for a beginner or accomplished musician.
