The pliers punch holes in soft sheet metal (copper, gold-filled, sterling silver, and brass) up to 22 gauge. They create a smooth, clean hole without barbs or rough edges. Plus, with the gauge guard, the area around the hole will be free of unsightly indentations!

Do yourself a favor and get the EuroTool brand. This one says its ok for up to 22 ga metal, the Euro says 18 ga (and I can vouch for that being true). This bead smith brand tool broke on the first use on 24 ga sheet metal. SMH

I actually use these for poking airholes in plastic containers for bugs, hundreds of holes later and it doesn't seem to have dulled at all

Ottimo prodotto, mi ha facilitato moltissimo il lavoro. Forare con questo utensile le lastre é una passeggiata. Per ora l'ho utilizzaton con lastre di alluminio e rame dello spessore da 0,4 decimi di millimetro e 0,6 decimi di millimetro. Sono soddisfatta.

I gave this 4 out of 5 stars because I expected this to slightly larger and the guard makes it difficult to make deeper material cuts (farther from the edge). I haven't been able to work with this much as the crafts I had planned for its use had been sidelined. I look forward to using this on the food cans I've been saving. It does punch through the metal quite easily.

I put off buying this product for a long time, but I finally had to give in as my design projects grew in sophistication. Now, I can punch holes in my metal embellishments so that attaching them to my cards and canvas designs is not such a pain (adhesives don't always work.) The pliers are easy to use and so far have worked on all the metals I use. Love It!
