This was a gift that was well received. He wore it with a persimmon (think deep spiced pumpkin) button up shirt on day and with a black button up on another. He received a lot of compliments on the tie. Especially with the persimmon shirt. Great length. Didnt look like a cheap novelty tie in the least.
