These are perfect for storing pantry items in my cabinet. The size is great for stacking or fitting on narrower shelves. The lids are easy to get on and off. The overall size means they don’t get overly heavy. And they are square so they are more cabinet, fridge and freezer friendly.

Very disappointed in this product. I had hoped to use these to freeze foods like soups. Unfortunately the lids are very flimsy and don't form a tight seal at all. Cheaply made. The only use I see for these buckets is if you want them to store non-food items. For example their ad mentions office supplies. They would work fine for that. But as far as storing food in the freezer? That's a "no go" in my opinion and that was my main reason for ordering them.

This set of 16 two quart size containers are fantastic .They came well packaged and feel sturdy enough. So far I’ve used them to store leftover soup and homemade ice cream. The soup was still very warm , not hot when I put it one of these containers . I noticed no warping or softening of the plastic when I added the soup . The lids fit very tight. No chance of spilling . I did not use the microwave to reheat the soup in the container. So I can’t address to how well the container would hold up on there .I also made a couple of batches of homemade ice cream and found these containers to hold a good bit and again they seal tight . They are holding up well in the freezer. I’ve scooped really frozen hard ice cream out of the containers for several days and have had no breakage or cracking.I also have found that they wash up easily and I’ve had no staining or discoloring even after storing the tomato based soup in them. They also fit nicely in my freezer and are stackable.I am very pleased with these containers .The size is perfect, they feel sturdy and durable . The cost is very reasonable .I very much recommend .

I cook for my husband and large family, as well as for neighbors and my church, so I often require quality containers like this to dole out portions to whomever I choose. These containers are far superior to some restaurant style snap lid containers (usually given to you by a restaurant to take home your leftovers) that would easily allow the lids to pop off, risking the food falling out or spilling over the edges. These containers are not like those at all. Once these snap down, your'e food is not coming out, even if dropped, unless you pry the lid back off yourself with intention. Very pleased.

I’m surprised someone found the lids flimsy because they almost are TOO snug. They require effort to get them to snap on but once they are on they are really secure and then require a bit of effort to get off but again they are SECURE. I like the handle and they hold a ton. I often make soups and large batches of sauce and these are perfect. I’ve put hot soup in them and they kept their shape. Microwaved fine. You get a lot of them. I’m happy with these.

we used a few of these to put wax in for making candles, but are using some of them for outdoor events... like birthday party, get togethers with family and friends, camping and can be used for much more

The lids on these are EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to get snapped on tight. You have to kind of press hard on the edge of the lid and the underside of the lip on the bucket and go around inch by inch to get it fully secure. It's not easy, but they DO snap on tight and are airtight.I got these to use for invertebrate colonies. I raise millipedes, isopods, exotic roaches, and feeder insects. I am always on the look out for containers that can work for satellite colonies and small breeding groups. I'll be cutting holes in the lids, securing a fine mesh over it, and using these for hissing cockroaches. At first I was very annoyed that the lids were not airtight or secure like the listing said, but one bucket that was in the package had 3 corners on very tight which gave me the idea to get a bit rough with them. It worked. Putting considerable effort into it made the lids snap down tight and secure. BUT it was annoying, and not something I want to be doing often, such as if I were using these for food storage. For my purposes, these will work okay for a while - but I personally will not return for more. They ARE thin buckets, but this is not a problem for me. I did microwave one to test, and it seemed to hold up - which is surprising because these are deli cup thin. But it did not melt or smell funny at all, which was good.Going to go ahead and give these 5 stars. Yes the lids are annoying to snap on, but they DO secure well and are airtight which is what the listing claimed. If you don't mind manhandling them a bit, they work well.
