How did you come up with the idea for this product?

This item is a very nice gift item for a son. It consists of a bronze compass with heavy crystal in a polished, hardwood box. The hardwood box has beautiful wood grain and is inscribed with the message "To My Son" along with a graphic of mountains and a compass star. The bronze compass body has an antique finish on the sides; the back is polished and has the following message inscribed on it: "Wherever your journey in life may take you I pray you'll always be safe Enjoy the ride and never forget your way back home I'm always here for you" The compass dial is in an antique sort of style and says "To My Son" at the south bearing and SON at the north bearing. The compass has a metal chain which appears to be bronze as well.With sentimental gifts of this type it is essential that everything is just right. In the case of this compass, everything was spot on and the overall effect was that of a very handsome and meaningful gift. It was clear that the vendor made every effort to make sure the gift arrived in perfect condition. The compass and chain was wrapped in a sealed plastic bag and was inside the wooden box which was, in turn, wrapped in a sealed plastic bag. The wooden box was in a blue, cardboard box with To My Son and a compass star on the outside with a floral pattern in the lower two corners of the box. It was also wrapped in a sealed plastic bag.Marine Art Handicrafts succeeded quite well in making a gift I would be proud to give. They paid attention to all the details and for the price, this is an excellent gift.

This was a gift for my son who moved to a far away province 3500 km away. I was so happy to find it. It is perfect because he loves the outdoors and exploring. Workmanship was done right. It made my heart happy.

I ordered this compass for a friend of mine to give to her son for Christmas. I got to see it and it’s beautifully made. It also came with a note explaining that it was made by a small company with only 11 employees. Which I thought was great supporting a small company in these difficult times.

I love the compass, it's beautiful, exactly as pictured and described. This is a Christmas gift for my son and I know he will love it too. I do not now how to use this type of compass and sent the first one back, I believe the compass was fine and it is just my lack of knowledge on how it works. Hopefully my son does, even if he doesn't he will hang it, open, on his wall.

I got this for my son's 18th birthday which is in a month or so. I haven't given it to him yet but I think it is just a really nice gift and he will really like it (I hope!). It perfectly conveys what I want to say on his 18th birthday. Shipping was fast and it is really nice.
