I've been stringing my racquets for over 20 years. I usually only string my and my wife's racquets, but I'll occasionally help out a friend who needs one done on short notice or can't get a particular string from a local stringer. I like to experiment with different strings and their tension, so having a stringer facilitates this. I've strung lots of racquets. My original stringer was an entry level stringer that I bought used. It worked and had an electronic puller, but the hardware function and puller operation were not user friendly. I wanted to upgrade!An electronic puller was a must have since since I already was using one. Despite the lack of reviews on Amazon, as well as not finding anything on YouTube, I decided to go with the Tourna 600-ES, mostly based on the promotional video. I had more confidence with another brand that is much more popular and slightly less expensive, but I liked the looks of this unit so much more. I'm somewhat limited in work space, so I keep the stringer in my office where it is always in sight. The appearance is important to me.This stringer does not disappoint. The ease of mounting different racquets is so much improved from my previous stringer. The hardware is top notch and operates smoothly, and the puller function is quick and easy. I really appreciate the pre-tension feature since I use co-poly strings.I keep the stringer tucked away in a corner of my home office. I mounted it on a low profile cabinet dolly so that I can roll it to the center of the room as needed. This has worked well.Not everything was perfect. The unit I received did have a problem with a mounting point for the carriage swivel lock rod that had rotated to a spot that made it impossible to complete the assembly. I had to disassemble part of the unit to free it, and it wasn't easy getting it all back together, but I eventually did. I believe this was an isolated issue, so I didn't reflect it in the rating, but some may have considered this a deal breaker and returned it. Despite this issue, I'm extremely happy that I got this stringer and I strongly recommend it. (And I paid full price for it!)
